The motor is intended to be used in a DIY Bowden Extruder (pictured) for a build of my own RepRap 3D printer. Got this NEMA 17 motor in record time, dropped it in my printed holder, snugged up the mount, plugged in the connector, mounted my Bowden parts and it works like a charm. The 62oz-oz motor has quite a bit of power Torque for an affordable price (compared to others in the lower 40oz range I am in the I am not able to verify this torque specification, but can only compile it against other motors purchased in the past. If you ever need to reinstall your computer, it becomes handy to have more powerful motors available Recommend this seller and would purchase again for other printer builds. Some of the items can be used or recycled in future builds.
The rotary attachment on my laser engraver works great with these. I installed the Nema17 stepper and it worked perfectly, but I had to switch to a much larger Nema23 stepper for the rotary attachment because the existing driver created too large an electric current through the smaller My little Nema17 will be put to good use in another way.
The motor is only an acceptable replacement for stock. It is a relatively weak motor. As a replacement for a burned out stepper, this will work just fine. Just don't expect a "higher torque" than stock. You should turn down your stepper driver power output if you start to hear or see it heating up. As was the case with my E3, I had to reduce the brightness from the stock setting. I believe this is a MEH part.
Buying these has taken some time.
This is the result. A lot of good quality is built into them. Their intended function is very well carried out, and they perform as intended.
Using the Nema17 stepper motor is the first time I have experimented with one. The feeling of the knife in the hand is good, and it has a fair amount of toque in All documentation was included in the box along with the packaging. I would consider buying again in the future.
Using a 4 board and Nema 17 motors works great for my 3d printer using 1/16 microstepping.
It worked perfectly. I'm happy with the quality of the product.
