Use a detergent and ultra sonic cleaner instead of IPA to eliminate clouding, and this holds true for each resin. You can prevent yellowing with a 385nm light cure, and spray a clear gloss for a glass-like finish with a spray on clear gloss.
There are few scents except 1 out of 5 roomates, however, she is a weak human who already smells resin before opening the door, thus she is lying. I have elegoo mars and am obsessed with wargames, so resin is my best choice. The best buy for the money right.
The product is excellent. I've been using it with the Elegoo Saturn to make engineering prototypes in full volume. As of now, it has been more important to use medium supports and lots of them, as well as being well attached to the part. I also found that if you remove supports in dimension, it can drastically decrease the weight of the part. A critical/interfacing area is where holes, inserts, etc. are found. In this way, you can remove the supports before UV curing and get a better result. In most cases, there is almost no trace left behind. After this process, you should cure the part for a whopping 2 minutes in a UV chamber [I used a Creality UW-36] When it's time to UV-cure, make sure that the supports are entirely removed Continuing the treatment for two more days I used mostly default settings for Chitubox for the parts. It took 4 minutes for the parts to come out very nicely. Despite its sandbladed build plate, the Elegoo Saturn does stick pretty well, but not so well you won't be able to remove it. Despite this, the resulting parts seem to be very sturdy and we were very happy with the tolerances There were no holes larger than Rather than oversizing them in CAD, I enlarged them in CAD just a bit, and the overall part size stayed within 1% of the specified value (within the range of linear shrinkage, which I could account for). The rest is up to you. The key is to use as many supports as possible! There is some smell to these resins, and you should truly be using a fume hood or an organic vapor mask if you spend any substantial time working with them (and safety glasses!) Ensure your personal protective equipment (PPE) is sufficient prevent the risk of eye or lung damage.
Here's an update There are some battery covers in black I made. The program worked very well. Currently I am designing prototype parts for my company. selected the translucent version to be able to see the internal fit more clearly. In addition to using this resin a couple of times, I also like how sturdy it is. Setting up my new newest resin printer has proven to be the biggest challenge for me. Although transparent can be a bit more difficult to work with, the benefits far outweigh any disadvantages. Have experience using the Weistek ABS prior to this It is easier to load and go with blue resin, as Blue resin demonstrated. All in all, I am happy with the result across the multiple liters of resin I have tested.
It has been rare for me to have failed starts on my prints, and these may have had nothing to do with I have some experience using this resin as well as other resins and I would like to share some of my findings Please note It is difficult to smell the low odor. Please note This resin adheres to the base plate. As long as your base plate is level and your settings are correct, this resin is perfect. Please note For the darker colors, it is really important to check the exposure times for the resin prior to printing, as those take more time Please note A resin package like this is fantastic. There is no mess to deal with, as it comes out of a plastic bottle.
As soon as a new brand of ABS like resin enters the market, I buy a 500ml bottle to give it a test, but this ABS like resin has so far been the most effective. I have used this material for years, and I like how easy it is to print with, how good the exposure timing is, and, most importantly, how strong and flexible the miniatures are, which allows them to handle shocks without snapped parts.
It is strong. Resin of very high quality. Because of the quality and ease of printing with this brand, I've come to be a big fan. The IPA makes them sticky, so I use denatured alcohol to clean them. It is even possible to cure these prints.
I like the subtle flex. There is some flex in the tiny scales of a dragon turtle I printed. There is a difference in the feel of resin compared to standard resin. Since I intend to paint and prime it, I chose gray. I was really impressed with how fast and well packaged the resin was. With no issues, I printed this resin on the Voxelab Proxima with the Elegoo gray ABS setting. My next purchase of resin would be this one.
