Product Description

A special type of photopolymer resin is used by Elegoo in order to reduce volume shrinkage during the photocuring process, which ensures the accuracy of the model and a high level of
With its excellent fluidity, Elegoo Rapid Resin 405nm enables printing to be done in far less time. Additionally, they ensure a worry-free printing experience and successful printing because of their great stability and hardness.
Incorporating high-quality pigments and photo-initiators into ELEGOO UV-Curing resin, models printed with resin retain a very rich and beautiful color, just as if printed on canvas.
Because of its outstanding properties, ELEGOO standard resin can be used in the majority of DLP and LCD This 3D printer is best suited to LCD 3D printers.
With acrylic bottles fully wrapped in plastic bubble bags and a beautifully designed package box, resin stays where it belongs, keeping it protected from leaks

Questions & Answers

Has this particular resin a different smell to it or does it have a stronger smell?

There is a softer smell to resin than to

You can print several models/prints from a 1000 gram bottle, but how many prints can you make?

As the model's mass and size would have to be determined, this would be a critical factor. In addition to printing small figurines less than 50mm, I can also print 6 of the same size across the build plate of my LD-500 I am 001R. experiences I would be able to produce 60 figures from a 1000 gram bottle close to 10 times. As you may already know, supports can consume quite a bit of resin that will need to be trimmed and thrown out. My point is that there are a lot of variables to consider when figuring out the total number of prints you can run.

Has an expiration date been set for this product?

The period of validity is one It is the date of manufacture that is printed on the bottle.

Can the print still be soaked up in water after a full cure? How long does it take for moisture to damage a printed image?

No no, it's plastic after it's cured. Only UV causes it to hurt after that

I'm fine with it
5/5

The recommendation is still the same. Essentially I have been printing with resins on and off for a while now, and this one seems to be the most interesting so far. The resin vat does not seem to be washable with water, even though the models are. Still, it was necessary for me to use IPA to clean it thoroughly. I would like to say that this resin works awesome on the models! Then it shouldn't be too thin if you aren't printing too thinly. I have found that thin parts, even after curing, are still too brittle in a few different prints. When compared to "cheap" resins, these resins are much more durable. However, this is usually only of concern if you are printing small miniatures, like I am. Since it works great not only for coatings, but also for other purposes, I will still use this resin. There were just a few weaknesses that My statement that the prints are more fragile after cure has been retracted.

Resin works well, but not sure if it is in any way more environmentally friendly
5/5

Resin of this type has worked really well for me. Neither cracking nor anything else was an issue. From my experience, setting up the printer properly and using the support services solves any issues. While they claim that their product is environmentally friendly, I don't think this is 100% true. For example, their own MSDS report shows the following that I urge you to read and follow, but the TL'DR is below. **5. **6. Taking precautions against the environment *It is not a good idea to allow the products to reach sewage systems or water sources. No access to sewer systems / surface water / ground water. Section This section basically is marked as "No info available," but then, in section 12, there is a section that tells more about environmental issues. There are paragraphs which state that water containing this substance is poisonous to aquatic life. The following sections are set out in Section In regards to disposal, all procedures must be followed You should contact your local waste disposal to dispose of the excess AND the items you've washed. Make sure to put them in a container and not just flush them down the drain in short, contact your local waste management service. Be sure to cover the resin with a cloth and then wash and dispose of the remaining particles according to the laws and regulations in your area. Unless you want water like Flint, Michigan, it's a good idea to do it.

Despite being easy to handle and use, resin is not easy to work with
4/5

It has been a mixed experience for me with this resin. Despite that, I gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating, since I am, for a fact, absolutely certain that if the kinks were better advertised, I would not have run into the same problems as Iran. In light of that, here are some of the good things - Low odor - Easy to clean - Beautiful color. - Curing settings are standard - The The infrastructure of this country is fragile / weak. The Photon S Test object broke halfway through the print due to force adhesion, so I used the lattice cube that came with the Photon S Test object. In this test, I also used FEP film in place of PET since I haven't been successful with using PET. Because of the fragility of the material after curing or during the printing process, users who need 100% successful printing, with little overhead cost, or "experimentation with settings", may not find this material to be cost effective. In this way, every print will by default take longer (if the solution is simply longer cure times, 12 sec. vs. 8 sec. ). In summary, the printed object is wonderful and would be ideal for solid, thin and non-fragile prints such as busts, parts, solid minis, etc. It is not suitable for lattice designs, or overly thin structures, therefore it would be best used as support. Having written this, it sounds like it deserves a 5 star rating, but for the cost of the product, and for the true applications it can truly accommodate, it isn't quite worthy of a 5 star. The only thing I would have complained about is the fragility of it. If it weren't for that, I would have given this 5 stars for sure!.

The ability to smell and use the product easily Cost isn't so much of an issue, but adhesion is
4/5

This comes from someone who has just learned resin printing, so please take it as me speaking from a new user's perspective. Firstly, does anyone else notice that this stuff fluoresces when exposed to curing lights? I find this kind of I enjoy the fact that I don't need to keep tubs of alcohol in the house anymore. There is a lot less odor in this resin than in conventional resin. My book counts both of these as plusses. However, I have had a few problems getting the print to stick to the build plate and some failed prints. The number of times I've run has been nearly one in each of the last four or five runs I've In the future, I will re-write Please make sure to shake the resin well, and level your models this time (I did not get a successful print halfway up, which was the first time I had experienced this. will, at the same time, add some time to the slicing process. The resin is different from what I have used in the past, so I will update in a week or two to find out if it is just inexperience on my part, or if the resin is different. In the course of time, this stuff will cost nearly twice as much as There is a thin line between nobility and irrelevance - I'm on the fence about this. I will (without a doubt) use this resin to build my new standard. If the prints fail, it will be my new standard.

Resin of great quality and great price
5/5

A resin like this just happened to catch my attention As I was printing at home and did not have a good workshop at which to clean, I thought I would This is the best set of prints I have ever seen. As far as I can tell, the resin is the same as what I used to get. All the supports are strong and easy to clean, and the detail is equally as good, while cleanup is easier than ever. To wash my clothes, I use a wash tub and a bit of A couple of them I have and let them evaporate away before cleaning them. One thing I can't determine is the strength at which it will tear. In my inquiry to Elegoo, I asked for a rating on their resins (hardness, tensile strength, etc. ) but I did not receive a solid answer. To compare standard to ABS like and waterproof, I wanted to compare standard and ABS like. Using COVID and the lack of alcohol available, this is the ONLY option I would choose. Anyway, I tried printing an XBox kinect mount and it was too brittle, but after supergluing the kinect, the mounting hook threaded on nicely.

The quality is excellent, so you won't need an IPA
5/5

Yes, it really does clean up The recommended setting of Elegoo Mars does not pose a problem. There's a little more cost, but you'll save some money on cleaning solutions, so it might pay for itself.
