In the first bath, clean your print with 95% or above IPA (you can use a soft bristled toothbrush to make sure you get the uncured resin out of the small details if necessary Cloudiness and "white-ish streaks" appear when IPA is left on uncured resin for too long. br>br>After agitating your piece in the first bath, dunk it in a second bath of clean IPA (I prefer to use a misting spray bottle). Allow to air dry or soak in a third bath of clean, distilled water. Allow it to air dry (or use canned air to gently blow it dry). br>br>Remove your supports and cure in the sun, in a "curing oven," or with a UV nail dryer. At this point, there should be no uncured resin streaks. br>br>To restore transparency or translucency to transparent or translucent prints, apply a layer or two of UV resistant clear coat.
I've used many bottles of this grey resin for minis and printed about 100 with great results so far, but it's still brittle. On the tabletop, you can still knock them around a little, but a fall from the table to the floor can break off swords, arms, and other items. This is a characteristic of resin printing, in my opinion. Anycubic Photon is the name of my resin printer.
Perhaps if the mold was very shallow and you had a good, strong UV lamp. Without direct contact, the uv doesn't pass through much resin, so I'd just use epoxy resin in a mold.
The following is a suggested curing time for the color black: Because it's difficult for light to pass through dark colors like black, you'll need to increase the exposure time. If you're printing in black, set the curing time for the first layer to 90 seconds, then 15 seconds for each subsequent layer.

Please hear me out. This is a reluctant review because I don't want anyone to know how good this resin is for the price, because every time I discover a great resin, the price skyrockets. I've been printing on my Anycubic Photon at Layer thickness settings for a while now. 5 bottom layers at 95 seconds, exposure 11 seconds, 1 second off time. Throughout the entire bottle, I have not experienced any failures. Someone mentioned that it was runny in one of the reviews. It is, in fact. Runny resin means easier model cleanup and less wasted resin sticking to the model and build plate, in my experience. It's a pain to get rid of gooey resin. I usually swish the completed model in 2091% or higher isopropyl alcohol after rinsing it in hot water to get off the liquid resin. I usually have to do this several times in gooey resin. Clean up is as simple as rinsing under a hot faucet for a few seconds, swishing in alcohol, rinsing off the alcohol, drying off with a paper towel, and then placing the product in the UV nail oven for a few minutes. Done. If ELEGOO reads this, please send me samples in various colors so I can test them for you. Because I paint my models, I only use grey, but I'd be happy to experiment with the other colors and provide feedback. Thanks.
The manufacturer recommends a faster cure time for this resin, but I tested it with Resin XP and found that 15 seconds with 0. I used 15 second regular layers, 5 seconds of off time, and 10 bottom layers with a 60 second exposure to get the best results. I'm getting good results on a regular basis. The chess pieces have a brilliant frosted glass appearance. Because I used light supports and supports that were too long, some of my first prints failed. I recently purchased a new bottle of clear resin. I cleaned the models in my photos with isopropanol. It's possible that if I had used Resinaway or another product, this would have been clear, but acetone cleaning produced the same frosted glass results. br>br>I made a larger rook that was slightly yellower than the others. There was no hollowing done to the model. I'm very pleased with the chess pieces that are smaller. I believe it is worth the $30 I paid for it.
The bottle was enclosed in a double-walled box with a tight-fitting air cushion. Unlike some other brands I've tried, there are no leaks. Wanhao and anycubic fast resins cure in almost the same amount of time. There have been no failed prints due to poor bed adhesion. The clear is shown with some pigments added to make it look like an opal in the image I posted. To avoid clouding, avoid washing in IPA and instead use a detergent and ultrasonic cleaner; however, this applies to all resins. Cure with 385nm light to prevent yellowing and paint with a spray-on clear gloss to achieve a glass-like finish.
Now that I've used it, I'm completely blown away by how good it is! If you're on the fence about switching, take a look at the pictures provided and perhaps you'll reconsider. Personally, I enjoy saving money, particularly when it does not mean sacrificing quality! I will definitely use this product again, and I would recommend it to anyone.
A caveat: I have a background in engineering, but 3D printing is new to me. This (ABS-) was purchased by me. To compare, I used a regular Elegoo translucent resin (which looks like grey) and a grey Elegoo translucent resin (which looks like grey). br>br>I'd like to add a note to my application: I'm attempting to create small parts for securing electrical connectors to the project box's wall. Of course, my priorities will differ from those for creating fantasy figures or for other purposes. br>br>According to the product description, this resin is stronger and more durable than general-purpose resins. resins with a specific application br>br>I used both resins to create the same design. I was struck by the fact that the ABS- Like parts were less faithful to my design than standard parts, and they didn't keep their shape under even minor stress. As a rough test, I pressed one part against the other, holding them in the same position and touching them in symmetrical places. The ABS- The similar part flexed three times as much as the standard one before snapping. br>br>For products claiming to have different physical properties, the boxes in which these resins ship show exactly the same specs, such as hardness and flexure strength, which seems odd. 60s base exposure, 8s normal is written on both of the actual bottles. br>br>Of course, there is room for user error here, but I did my best to follow their advice. br>br>Here are some ideas for Elegoo: br>1) Use consistent terminology for each product's specifications; for example, I see Flexure strength and Extension strength for standard, but Flexural modulus and Bending strength for ABS-based products. 2) Please make profiles for these resins available for download. The "community" spreadsheet you provide is better than nothing, but it is incomplete, contains terms that do not correspond to your products, and must be manually entered. 3) Each product is touted as fantastic, but there's no way to compare them. Please make selecting the appropriate product more straightforward.
I printed it on a $400 printer. The Anycubic Photon is a $1000 resin printer. The photo's coloration does not show up correctly in the photo because it is printed in a primer grey. I've had great results with both Elegoo grey and black, and I'm on my third bottle. I'm not interested in the more expensive resins because I don't think they'll do any better than what's shown. The ridges in the wings, as well as all of the other details, came through exactly as they do on the. model for sla I like the grey because it's easy to see where the supports are removed in post-processing so you can trim them flush with a hobby knife and there's very little cleanup required after the piece has been UV hardened. You've come to the right place if you're looking to print gaming miniatures. I've also tried larger prints and had similar results. They also provide excellent customer service and promptly respond to any questions or concerns you may have. For Photon, the best settings are 0. Layer height: 05mm, bottom layer count: 8, exposure time: 12s, bottom exposure time: 60s, light-controlled Delay Offset 6 5 You will enjoy it if you buy it.
