As a newbie to SLA printing, I have no idea what I am doing. However I have watched countless videos and so far have had a good rate of success when it comes to getting the hobby down. Because of my experience with FDM printing, this was an easy process for me. I do not yet know if they work with my anycubic mono x, but they seem good. I do seem to go through them really quickly, however, causing me to be concerned. It took me maybe 20 prints to finish the first FEP that came with the printer. My 5-star rating is a gift from the universe The majority of these are 10. As I began installing the film, I followed the installation directions and handled it with the utmost care. These seem to be of little use to me after a few uses. The LCD screen of my computer constantly has resin on it, so they seem to get a lot of holes.
The fep film is the perfect replacement it is easy to trace the outline of your tank onto one side, cut it out, peel off the protective film from both sides, fasten between the tank collar, and tighten slowly in an alternating pattern to lower the.
After removing a failed print from my FEP, I removed a hole in it and ordered these in its place. As they are able to fit multiple sizes of printers, there are no holes for screws to go in, so this is nothing to worry about. That being said, they were larger than the frame, but I didn't see any issue with it. It was very easy to make custom holes for the screws. In order to attach the screws, I simply placed the FEP sheet over the frame and punctured small holes with a needle and made them a lot bigger using my Allen wrench. Once it was secured to the frame, it was simply a matter of trimming the excess material and screwing it into place. I'm very impressed with how well it's worked.
It was mostly my inexperience and a lack of knowledge about how to prevent damage to FEP that caused this. I was not able to print successfully because any of these sheets were defective or faulty in any way. They installed easily and seemed to last longer than my other nFEP sheets.
The first time I had to replace the FEP of my Mono X was as a result of a hardware failure. Once I watched a few videos and printed a spacer on my FDM machine, I was ready to begin. Several protective films and pads had been put around the films. I installed the printer without any issues, and now it is producing beautiful prints again. Thank you so much for making these.
In the past, I have replaced FEP sheets before and after the first break I simply thought, "This happens. ". My second issue was caused by a rip that let too much resin into the printer, causing permanent damage. This product dissatisfied me so much that I normally wouldn't write a review, but I lost a printer this way.
Works perfectly as a replacement for FEP. Remove the film both sides and make sure to clean it. I can place my Photon Mono X anywhere I want. The fact that I had this on hand made all the difference in getting back up and running.
I liked the FEP film a lot, and the price wasn't too bad either. Although the packaging is inadequate, I have found it to be insufficient. It was more secure to ship film that I bought from other vendors who packaged it with stronger supports to protect it during Opening the flimsy mailing pouch, I noticed the packaging had been nearly bent in half, which was an indication that the packaging was damaged. It is still possible to use the film. To prevent damage to the film in shipping, I recommend the vendor include a sturdy sheet of heavy card stock in your packages.
