Questions & Answers

What is the expected lifespan of these pins?

Stainless Steel Tumbling Media from guntap should last virtually indefinitely when cleaning brass (or metals softer than the stainless pins). Except for some pins lost when emptying the tumbler, there should be no need to replace the media.

Rather than shipping to the United States, why not send to Canada?

Our product is available for purchase in Canada, but only through the Amazon Prime program. When a product is in stock at Amazon's warehouses, look for the Prime badge on the product page. If it's not in, it's out.br> If our product is in stock on Prime, you can buy it and have it shipped internationally through other marketplaces (specifically, a popular online auction site that we can't mention here). We make every effort to keep our merchandise in-stock. Because all of our product is packaged by hand rather than by machine, it usually sells out quickly and restocking takes some time.

Is it possible to find pins that are smaller and shorter than these? 047 x . 225 }?

At this time, we do not have any pins with a smaller diameter or shorter length. It's possible that we'll offer a shorter pin in the future, though the diameter will most likely remain the same. Stainless Steel shot, rather than pins, may be a better option if you need a shorter pin. Shot, on the other hand, has a diameter that is roughly equal to its length but is not necessarily a sphere. This is great for things like blasting, but not so much for brass tumbling because the media would get stuck in the flash holes. br>br>From time to time, we provide out-of-town services. spec pins, which are usually cut to a shorter length than our tolerance specification (/-). 5%), but they aren't available on Amazon. For the out-of-pocket expenses, you would need to contact us directly. pins that are specified

I'd like to clean the suppressor's baffles. Is it possible to use this media with a wet tumbler?

The answer is that it is dependent on the suppressor you are using. If your suppressor baffles are made of aluminum or titanium, the metal is too soft to withstand the media and could be damaged. If the baffle is a single piece that can trap media, you don't want jammed media because it's difficult or impossible to remove without causing damage. However, if your baffles are made of stainless steel (or a harder metal) and disassemble into small parts, the tumbling media will clean all of the built-up residue.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR REAL STAINLESS STEEL MEDIA TO RUST? For the past five years, I've been tumbler cleaning brass and other stainless steel media with excellent results using hot water and dawn detergent
3/5

I sealed the tumbler with wet media and put it away for a few weeks at a time. When the drum is opened for the next batch, there is never a trace of rust. br>br>I began with 5 pounds of stainless steel media and lost about half a pound over the course of five years. So I replenished with this media, bringing the total weight back up to 5 pounds. Looks and works the same, except they were a little dull out of the bag instead of bright and shiny. br>br>Well, now that I've replenished, or should I say infected, my 4, I'm ready to go. With 5 lbs of real stainless steel media and a half pound of these, there's a lot of rusty water in the bottom every time I open the tumbler after a week or so of storage. I've been storing clean media in a sealed tumbler drum with an inch or so of clean residual water in the bottom for the past 5 years. I'm all set to start the next batch. I just let the first tumble job work the rust out and move on; it cleans the same. br>br>Now, I just let the first tumble job work the rust out and move on; it cleans the same. Every piece of media appears to be identical. However, when this media rusts, I have my doubts that it is genuine stainless steel.

The best brass media I've ever seen! This type of media is INCREDIBLE! I get some really filthy brass from my gun club, and it's amazing how well this cleans it up and makes it look brand new! Before tumbling, I deprime my brass, and the pins clean out the primer holes so well that you'd never guess it was fired brass
5/5

br>br>The only catch is that you must run the pins alone for a few hours with water and dawn dish soap to round off the sharp cut ends and remove any manufacturing residues before you can begin shining up your dirty brass with incredible results! I usually start with my stainless pins and dirty brass, followed by lukewarm water in the drum. Simply add a teaspoon of dawn dish detergent and a dash of lemi shine, and your clothes are ready to tumble! The brass looks brand new after tumbling for about an hour and thirty minutes. br>br>After tumbling, drain the dirty water and rinse with cold water several times. After that, sift out the pins and let the brass dry before reloading. br>br>Now that I've built two more tumbler barrels, I'll definitely be purchasing more.

It's a fantastic product that lasts for a long time
5/5

These go in my redneck wet tumbler, which I built from a broken inkjet printer. With these pins, a few cups of water, a big ol' squirt of Dawn, and a 9x19 hull full of Lemishine (also available from Amazon), I can get brass so shiny that looking at it in the sun hurts your eyes. Even the primer pockets have been spruced up. Use these pins if you've considered wet tumbling but don't want to build your own tumbler like I did. They're fantastic.

It'll be the best $20 you've ever spent! If you're a reloader thinking about switching to "wet-fire" ammunition, here's what you should know

tumbling" don't even think twice about it. You will not be disappointed if you purchase some of this merchandise; it is truly magical! br>br>Benefits of this method over dry media (walnut/corncob)br>- Obviously, the cleaning results are superior (the primer pockets and case interior are thoroughly cleaned).
- healthiest option
- Unless you lose it, you'll never have to replace the media!
- Cleans in half the time it takes to clean with dry mediabr>- With the help of a handy magnet, it's much easier to separate the pieces.
- It can be mixed with water, dish detergent, or Lemi Shine, among other things. for a boost of cleaning. br>- As a result of the cleaner cases, there are likely to be better ballistics. br>br>The bottom line is that while wet tumbling is more expensive up front, it is well worth it in the long run for a variety of reasons. br>br>The proof (before first/after second) can be found in the photos!.

FASTER and far superior to walnut media
5/5

On 9mm brass that had already been polished, I used the pins with their cleaner. Since the brass was already clean, I didn't hold out much hope. The water was black and the brass almost glowed after 20 minutes of scrubbing with liquid cleaner and tumbling pins in an RCBS Sidewinder. It had a shinier sheen to it than when it was brand new. The insides of the primer pockets were as bright as the outsides, and their cleaner went a long way as well. I separated the pins from the filthy water with a nylon nut milk bag, rinsed them, and they were as good as new. I'm much happier with this than with the RCBS liquid cleaner, which does a decent job but is nowhere near as clean as their cleaner and pins. The pins and cleaner are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought the 2nd one and it was perfect
5/5

It comes in a 5 pound package and is ideal for polishing brass in my HF dual drum tumbler. After depriming, simply apply a little lemi shine, dish soap, and the pins, then fill the brass almost to the brim with water. After letting my brass tumble for an hour or two with these pins, it looked almost brand new. Even the primer pockets are spotless, and the pins don't get stuck. The pins are magnetic and easy to retrieve from the strainer after straining the water out, despite being made of stainless steel. For the reloader who enjoys polishing brass, this is a must-have item.

It really works
5/5

A 3 pound Harbor Freight rock tumbler was used for this project. I mixed 1 pound of media with 125 gallons of water. 45 ACP cases (deprimed), plus one tsp of the cleaner included. After two hours, the brass, including the primer pockets, was completely clean and gleaming. I got similar results with 1/4 teaspoon dawn and 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice; I can't believe I put off going to wet tumbling for so long. If you're on the fence, jump on it right now; it'll make your life a whole lot easier.

Multiple brass cleanings do not affect the pins
5/5

After depriming and resizing my ammo brass in a sonic cleaner to remove the oil and grease, I use these pins in a tumbler. br>The brass is sparkled by using citrus cleaner, soap, and a dishwasher. The pins fall through when I place the brass in my casing sorter. br>Pour out the liquid and reclaim the pins with a magnetic. Before putting them away, make sure they are completely dry. Pins can be reused several times.
