VSM 402395 Abrasive Hand Pad, 6" x 9", Fine Grade, Maroon (Pack of 10)

These were required to remove a light amount of rust from the surface. It would probably be best to cut them all into halves or thirds. This level of grit was exactly what I needed. On my very old drill press, I got them specifically to machine some surfaces. After some scrubbing and carb cleaner, the metal looks great, and has a nice old patina to it. There was just enough in the 10 pack to be convenient to have on hand, and it was a good price.

I was very happy with how it worked out. Furthermore, I used them to sand into place the wood filler on my crown molding where I filled in nail holes and the two mitered In the event that I run out again, I will order them again.

The pads are intended to be used under floor vents around which the wax builds up and is hard to remove, they work well as long as I use my sander to hold them, they vibrate OK and they remove wax very well.

When I use them to polish my snowboard, I find the wax takes away the grit right away.
