Do you know if this is the same material used for the flexible chopping mat?

I have a flexible cutting mat, but this material is thinner and softer. Rather than a spongy surface like the cutting mat, it is more like the fingernail polish.

It does its job of protecting work surfaces, but it is not as durable as I expected

The surface protector is sufficient for protecting the work surface when hammering, but it is Now the pad is cracked and it has a hole in it. Without the flexibility and elasticity of rubber, it feels like a piece of hard rubber.

It protects you from noise and cuts it down

I use it under my heavy duty disc cutter, and it provides excellent protection. Keeping my dies safe from chipping and causing damage cuts down on the amount of noise.
