It does not matter what sander you use, as long as the backing pad has the hook loop velcro. In the absence of holes in your sander's pads, this feature will not work, because the vacuum holes are present there. You can still use it as a sander without vacuuming.

Despite the strong media, wet sanding applications hold up well

Sanding media that lasts a long time. In my case, I use it exclusively for wet sanding. While some wear has occurred on the abrasive surface, it remains intact. I was only able to get through after a lengthy usage period. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decent value. For reference, here is the information Sanding polyester resin embedments with this sandpaper, which is similar in hardness to automotive paint, is a useful task for me. My next step will be to use a rubbing compound and foam buffing pads to achieve a mirror-like finish after the sanding step. Despite its durability, the quality is as high as usual for Mirka. If you can spend a little extra on an excellent product such as this from Mirka, it's well worth it. It is made of a thin, foamy backing about one eighth inch thick. Flexibility is a great strength. There is no separation of parts in this package. In the three weeks I've used the sanding machine, I've had no problems with the backing or sanding surface coming apart. Although it does wear out, it does so uniformly and at a predictable rate.
