Questions & Answers

Comes packaged with a backing pad? How do you attach it to the ?

The reason they are so cheap is because they are not. Depending on the size, back pads run anywhere between $20 and $60 There is a $100 range depending on the functionality and flexibility of its design.

What if I want to use my dremmel multi max orbital tool with this?

The possibility exists. You can choose to set a variable speed if it does. An orbital sander with a variable speed was what I used. Velcro is used to attach the sanding pads.

can you get rid of the colored residue that is left behind by every pad?

There is not enough water in the discs if the color of the disc remains on the material after washing. Wearing a rain suit while I use my grinder and being a little wet is not unusual for me. Work doesn't happen in a dry environment!

good product
4/5

I have a cooler shade of granite stone in my kitchen that's been on for almost 5 years. At the time of their installation, these counters had a glossy finish. There were several scratches on one corner of the counter from when it was first installed, and there was a dull spot around the outer 1/2 to 3/4 inch of those counters that receive the most use, I suspect from dishes being dragged along the counter edges. Our maintenance team cleaned and sealed the counters regularly. However, overall, they were dull and lacking in shine. Luckily, I own an electric polisher with a variable speed, so I decided to refinish my old kitchen cabinetry. Take the time to polish them. With extensive research and online videos, I recently purchased a set of Stones MB-90 wet diamond polishing stones from the Stadea company. A 20 mL polishing cream is recommended as well as white Norton polishing pads The scratch on that corner went away very easily after I used plenty of water and the 800 grit. Using 1500 grit and plenty of water, I made a very dull finish with no shine moved to 3000 grit with plenty of water and achieved a very low shine. On to the black buff pad, and it took forever to feel any difference at all. Continued to work with the MB-P When used as directed, a very significant difference in shine exists, though the shine is far from where it was when Also, I had a can of specialty Italian black granite wax that I had bought a couple of years ago, so I decided to give it a try. I applied wax first, then I buff it with a clean Norton buffing pad. Then I applied a fine steel wool over the steel wool as directed. I just love how shiny it is! In my opinion, they are better looking nowadays than when they were My final result was also very pleased with the end result however, it took several products, a lot of time, and a lot of effort to polish this granite.

I liked the discs and the assortment was great
4/5

For my new concrete countertops, I purchased these grinders to smooth and finish them. It was far easier for me to pour the concrete counter tops on site rather than pre-cast them The counter tops are cast iron. The product came as described and I have given some pros and cons. I ended up purchasing 4 sets to get me through the project. The pros - A product that is durable - The selection of discs is nice however, there are some drawbacks - As a rule, the 50 and 100 grit discs wear out more quickly than the others. The main reason for this is that the rougher grits are used to achieve most of the work and the higher grits are used to polish. It would be advisable to buy one of these sets and then separately purchase the 50 discs and the Four of the 50 and four of the 100 were needed. A 200-grit paper and a 100-grit paper were needed. One of the 800 grit discs I had broke because I kept hitting the corner of the wall, causing a piece to break Although it was still usable, since I had multiples I wasn't going to use, I switched it out for one I wasn't going to use. My method is to move from north to south and from east to west. The entire surface of the area was maybe 3 feet by 3 feet. I kept a cup of water on hand so that I could keep the surface moist. Depending on how far you can reach, you might be able to reach it. It is likely that some spots will be missed if you take a large area. The reviewers reported that they had trouble getting a decent polish on some models. At the beginning of the journey, I felt the same way, but I realized I had been moving too fast. To get the most out of each disc, I had to devote more time to it. I would advise you to use 100 grit discs especially. A lot of the cutting is done with the 50 grit (i. e. The high spots or rough spots will be knocked down). I did most of the work of getting the surface flat and working out any imperfections on the 100 grit, before moving on to the 200 grit and beyond and finishing up the surface. I was really pleased with the conclusion of the product and it made my hair feel like granite when I was done. I would definitely recommend this product and use it again. Discs will not wear out at the same rate, so consider this.

It was a great experience

This is what I bought at Bevel & Trim I purchased these to polish the edges of granite tiles for a 7' long vanity countertop, and found them very effective for the price amount. Used them "wet" for the most part, but used the heaviest grit "dry" to do the initial 45° polish. There is a 45-degree bevel on the edges of about a dozen backsplash tiles and front edge tiles. I used a variable router speed control and turned it all the way to the slowest setting to slow down the blade speed with the hook and loop backer pad, which fit perfectly on my Makita angle grinder It is important to note that these discs were NOT designed to run at 10 speed There will be an adverse effect if you use grinders with speeds over 11,000 revs, so please read the instructions regarding maximum speed to prevent injury. Whenever possible, it is recommended to use them wet since the one disc I used dry clearly wore much faster (although even that disc looks like it has plenty of life left In use wet, the others showed great resistance and I used them quite a bit on this project. I am not a professional and may not hold up well long term to continuous use, but for a DIY'er and occasional use, I think it would be nice.

My expectation was that the color would not In accordance with the directions, we used the slowest setting on our variable speed grinder
3/5

Next, I tried most discs while they were Colors were left on the gray quartz, depending on whether it was white or gray. To remove the colored areas, we had to use one of our original discs from the tile store. It was returned.

Use it on a floor if you are using it on a floor
5/5

The job was well done with these. Starting at 30 grit is a good starting point if you are using this on a floor like I did. After I went through my 50 grit I felt like there was more to be done, so I went to the local hardware store to find some 30 grit pads and then.

The product you received is not what you saw in the picture
3/5

I had to order a backer pad later to use these pads, which is shown in the pictures but not included in the package. It's unclear what the backer pad is in the description, but close-up shots indicate it clearly. In the description, it should say "Does not include backer pad" and in the photo of the backer pad it should say "Not included. ". ".

These do a great job with the many feet that I had to clean
5/5

There were some parts of that I considered skipping. This is the set I bought to make travertine tiles with bull nose edges. The foot scrubber did a better job than I expected since I had many feet to do. Although it was tempting to skip some of the pad grits, I found that the final result was less than satisfactory since the time I saved was not worth it. In order to produce a glossy finish, all pads must be used in the correct order.

This kit is perfect for polishing Granite and many other surfaces
5/5

The Diamond Polishing Pads in this set are very nice. As a result, I had to use the finest cut pad to get rid of the hard water marks on the Until I was able to get these more aggressive pads, I was at the mercy of the It comes with a backing pad, and the price I found was one of the best things I found.
