This polisher was used to bullnose 2 inch travertine for the coping of my new pool deck. As soon as it fell off the short table and the handle fractured, it worked perfectly. Despite the 18-inch drop, the deck was only damaged by 18 inches. This plastic is very cheap and of poor quality. Brittle to the point of being unusable.

After profiling the edge I used the various polishing discs on the edge to polish it. So far, 20 feet of cable have been installed using the tool and accessories. Despite being a cheaply made machine, the polisher seems solidly built, water feeds well, and it is easier to start with a slow start.

After reading reviews of polishers and grinders that didn't astonish me, I chose this since it was the least expensive one with solid reviews. Wet polishers in general work very differently than dry grinders, so my expectations were completely off when operating one. It looked very similar to our dry grinder in appearance, but both machines are very different in operation. I have a dry grinder with a different spindle, so I wasn't able to do wet polishing and cleaning Grinding attachments are not included in this machine, nor does it have shock protection or a water delivery system. As well as only having two speeds, it also doesn't have batteries. There is an on and off switch. With this one, the spindle for the wet attachments is included, and it has a ground fault interrupter and variable speed settings. It is heavier and longer. Founded in slate, my first project was. It was my goal to design an edge for slate tiles that was finished. In order to ease the edge and smooth the top and bottom of the front edge I used the 3/16" round over bit to slice and epoxy strips. I followed the instructions as if it were granite or marble when I tested the polisher set for the first time. I had already polished the test piece to a shine before I had gotten a quarter of the way through the set. I wanted a slate look, so that wasn't what I wanted. let's look at what I actually did. My only use for the first two discs in the set was to smooth out the surface on the epoxy joint and to remove scratches from the round over bit. When the top of the edge is sealed with wet-look sealer, it very closely matches the surface, which is a little rough and natural looking An uneven distribution. One concern expressed by other reviewers centered around getting shocked without triggering the ground fault. As stated in the directions, rubber boots & safety goggles should be worn. With gloves on. The rubber soles of my work boots and the nitrile exam gloves I wore were rubber. My tool use in grinding and polishing was free of shocks during the long hours of work. This is an easy-to-use tool that is not too hard to control (it does get a little 'grabby' when hitting epoxy lines, but it is not too difficult). I was very pleased with the result.
