This is simply a piece of hardware you will place As a result of friction, it remains there. If you use this with a pointed live tailstock or mandrel saver, it will work best. In terms of live tailstocks, I prefer the pointed model. I hope your birthday is a good one!
This is not an animal of that kind. There are seven bushings on every pen, for a total of seven 7mm mandrels
Not at all. My friend gave this away at a club raffle, so it must be junk
It is either a #2 Morse taper or a #1 Morse taper. You can find out what your lathe does by looking it up.

My inexperience led me to believe that it was my inexperience, but after some research I concluded that it was due to the shaft having been bent, and I was able to see the wobble even while running the lathe on a low RPM. All of my pens have come out like that, so either it was that way the first time I used it, or it was when I bought Any mandrel bent newly or easily should not be a good candidate for our bending laboratory. It is possible that I got the bad apple, but I will not buy from this vendor.
Turners with a lot of experience hate this. If you are just starting out with pen turning, this product might be a good solution since the mandrel head does not lock out fully with the tightest of tensions. In the case of too much pressure being applied from the carving process, the axle of the mandrel head will turn. In contrast, seasoned turners who turn at a faster rate and more pressure find this to be a big inconvenience. For a beginner, this might be a good choice, but a seasoned turner would not benefit.
The rod can be adjusted infinitely, and it is quick and easy to install. If you are working with smaller pieces like pens, then this will create a shorter turning rod. In comparison to the mandrel that is screwed into the headstock, I much prefer this.
I was able to use it for about 8 pens before the.
The pen has worked great for me in terms of turning a good number of pens on it. The product was excellent. I would buy it.
It has a solid construction and is easy to operate.
A cheaper pen mendral was previously on my desk, but I switched right away and now I wish I had not bought the cheap.
It's a good product, but it bends too much.
