Does it achieve a nice finish on metal with these discs?

The circles they leave behind are similar in size to the ones you get when you use them to deburr sharp edges on steel plates. Unlike a polished finish, it is not brushed.

I had a pack to share with my welding class

When I compared prices before I made the purchase, my welding instructor suggested the Neiko brand. Since we only needed 1 or 2 discs each, I decided to pick up a pack and share it among us. All in all I am satisfied with these and I also have a few spares Smoothing edges of plasma cut steel has been a breeze using these, and we have been delighted with their performance. I find the value for money to be outstanding when compared to the offerings of DIY / Welding Supply Store.

abrasive that is best. Since the first disk I found, I have tried several other disks. You can't use them up until you've worn them out, and when you think they're about to wear down, they keep grinding. I removed five disks of concrete deck paint from a large patio with resin topped concrete decks. The box is very useful for other projects, I just bought another one to keep on hand.

This is great for sanding down old decks

As I was sanding the old flaking paint off of decking and railing with these discs, I found that they work 3 times faster on the angle grinder than trying to do the same thing with the Since these disks are strong, if you are not careful, you can gouge the wood. However, they are great for getting the wood to the bare bones.
