There is no question that it was a second rate product that was faulty and not something you would want to use on a vertical indentation on a marble rough profile. Sadly, I missed the return window by 3 days due to the current pandemic and a family matter that lasted for over two weeks. A grinding wheel of a particular grit was available for use only by one of the three I ordered. You would be better off looking elsewhere rather than buying!.

There is too much fine grit in the product. The stone is overall a great one for sharpening blades.
