To help, we have pictures of everything. I have updated Okay, I am changing this from a 5 star to a 2 star. The last belt has just been put in and we've only had these 4 for 9 months! There really is no need to do that. These appeared to be made well at first, and the first belt lasted the longest. However, all 3 belts have gone out since my August review, so we're on the 4th and 5th at the moment. Having the original OEM belts fail is simply not acceptable. The original OEM belts seemed to last for years. I. & II. Not even a single sweep is performed every day! Despite the 2star rating, they remain technical fit and will work in a pinch for a reasonable price. That burnt smell starts quickly, and it's almost impossible to get rid of it once it begins. Our best efforts have been made. It took some time for the OEM belts to wear out, so we were able to replace them in time. We found belts on here for that sweeper that we found on our older Orek that needed only part of the handle replaced. I am very upset about the way my husband threw it away. Although the OEMs endured somewhat longer than these, they didn't hold up as long as these did. It feels bad that I recommended these for so long at 5 stars. I am updating I have no problems with the first belt as of 8/26/20. There is no smell of burnt rubber. Thank you. I'm excited about this. The purchase is still recommended, and we are pleased with it. If there are any changes, I will update the post. *cough* ORIGINAL had an Oreck sweeper that needed a new belt. These were a good price and we appreciated that it came with more than one belt. We replaced the old burnt one, and placed an extra in the slot where the backup belt goes for easy access in the future. This is made well and has a good thickness and width. In two pictures you can see the old OEM belt that we removed next to this belt in my husband's hand for comparison. On one side of the older one, one side had melted while the other side had did not notice much of a difference between the two when it came to size or quality, which was what we were hoping for. We have had the belt for two months and it still works perfectly. A bad smell has been eliminated and the sweeper seems to be working well. Here are some pictures of what we took during the belt exchange to give you a sense of how it will be Here are the belts we recommend.
Although these belts appear to be made by a third party and of good quality, they are made by a third party. cannot speak to the durability of the one I installed since it has only been here for a few days and only been used for a few minutes. As time goes by, I hope that each belt lasts half as long as an OEM belt, which will lead me to believe that a four-inch belt is superior to an OEM belt Each belt in this pack costs the same as one OEM belt. As some have pointed out, these belts appear to be smaller than originals keep in mind, however, that belts stretch over time, and this is a sign that it is time to replace the belt. A little trick was involved in the installation, but it's not difficult. First, remove the brush roll completely from the machine, then install the belt and reinsert the brush roll, starting with the belt side. Using the brush roll for leverage, stretch the belt until it is in place. Once the belt side is in place, place the other side as well.
Our local stores never carry these, and Oreck stores never carry them.
Price is great. The problem with Orecks is that they are hard to replace, but that's just the way they.
Good replacement part. A bit difficult to install, but I finally got it in place and the vacuum now works.
I love how well they fit.
