Pre filters made from foam can be easily cleaned with warm water and soap. To clean mine, I use warm water and a small amount of Dawn dishwashing liquid. I'm not aware of any retailers who sell foam pre filters separately. It would be nice if you could let me know where you purchased the pleated filters. I wish you the best of luck.
To clarify, I mean the foam before Filter, yes, the gasket on the outside is foam, isn't it?

There are two filters in this Oem Dirt Devil scorpion hand held vacuum filter, the black carbon/foam filtration layer on the outside, but it is not visible in the picture on the website. The carbon filter that protects the paper filter inside this filter is very important to use since it helps to reduce odors, protects the paper filter from larger particles, and act as a barrier for larger particles. The exact same filter that came with your vacuum cleaner.
As a replacement for the original one that came with my Versa 3 in 1 Stick Vacuum BD22025, I purchased this filter. Dirt Devil's website states that F117 is the filter that fits this vacuum, but I decided to order it from Amazon instead because Dirt Devil direct requires you to pay for shipping with replacement items. When I ordered my Dirt Devil, I was a little nervous it might not be the authentic one or the correct model, but the one I received was indeed the correct one and came packaged in a genuine way. My experience with this filter has been overwhelmingly positive and I've found it Having had a Dyson in the past, I expect my new vacuum cleaners to have great suction since I am primarily using them to clean When I replaced the filter in my Dirt Devil vacuum, it significantly improved the vacuum's performance. An old filter in my Dirt Devil vacuum caused poor performance over time. Also, the filter is super easy to clean. I simply remove all pet hair collected on the surface of the filter, tap it with a rag to remove any dust trapped inside the folds, and then rinse the filter A day or two is enough for it to air dry. In these conditions, I prefer to clean the filter weekly and the filter lasts well.
My Dirt Devil is incompatible with this model, despite the fact that it is the correct one. The description should make it very clear that this will not fit models made prior to a certain date (in this case, the cutoff is 2014 or 2015). I'm disappointed that DD did not update the model ID when they changed the vacuum and the filter it requires. You may need the F5 filter instead (which is harder to find made by the manufacturer) if you have an older Scorpion SD20005RED. In most cases, the F117 will be OK if you have a Scorpion that is newer than that. I spent a half hour on the phone with DD customer service, but how am I supposed to know this without spending that much time on the phone? In the description, the information MUST be included.
The vacuum has no comparison to cordless units when it comes to lifting carpet. With narrow attachments, this is a great option for cars and trucks. There is a pre-filter included with the filter This product does not come with a filter foam cover.
I was able to pick up crumbs easily I also like the attachments that came with it however, some areas of the collection bin are hard to clean, but I had a similar problem with my other upright which cost four times as much. The suction power and price are great, and the vacuum is great for its price.
The filters do work well, but they do not last very long, even with repeated cleaning. The suction power of the vacuum motor drops and the vacuum begins to load and make noise as the filter becomes filled with trapped dust/dirt, etc. It may not be enough filtering?.
This is a replacement for the original. It includes two filters a carbon mesh filter and a I tried it and it worked. Stores are hard to come by. This was the only place where they had it. I am grateful for your help.
