1 1/2" is the size of this item. Item 102715 from Proteam would be the appropriate item if you need the 1 1/4" version.

An elbow that has been formed. Despite being fairly rigid, the material has a little bit of flex to allow it to wrap around There is no easy way to completely collapse the unit, but a little flex is possible by squeezing the end. I just wanted to point out that because it doesn't thread on (screw on), it does wiggle back off the ends sometimes - it does fit well, though. This is not only hard to fix, but it creates a huge annoyance if no one is around to help you put it back on. You need to remove the backpack, replace the cuffs, etc. Return the backpack to its original position.

Approximately 1 inch of hose od is attached to my vacuum. Is this male threaded end of the cuff long enough to fit into an interior diameter of 5 inches? Can you tell me what the diameter of the unthreaded end is?

These pieces are designed to fit on top of vacuum canisters.

The product was bought to satisfy a very specific need, and it is very useful. There are swivels on either side of the elbow, so that it can be rotated freely as well as the hose as well. Utilize the 'Pro Hose' with your Shop Vac If you will use this in 5"), In addition, it appears to work with hoses up to 1 7/8" in diameter. Design of the cuffs and well-made construction does not block.

An item that should come with the initial purchase of a vacuum

This item was very well received by me, however the only disappointing aspect is that it does not come as a part of the $500 vacuum that I previously purchased.
