The following is the rest of the story. The Kirby vacuum cleaners I own are both Kirby models. In 2000, one was purchased new and it still works fine today In the other case, I purchased it at a thrift store (used) and had my local Kirby store restore it. The vacuum bags used by both are of the same style. Please be aware that not all KIRBY BAGS are the same! I have the scoop for you Part#197301) are included in the pack. There are 9 bags on Amazon There is an approximate 50% thickness difference between the 301 and 394 The 301 bags may perform better at trapping small particles than the 301 bags, but both will fit my Kirbys. Several kirby bags had been purchased from our local Kirby store, and we had reached the end of our supply. The purchase of these from Amazon has been a leap of faith for me. It was my hope that the bags would be authentic Kirby, and yes, they are. I'm glad these types of vacuum bags are still available for the older kirby vacuum cleaners. A paper bag is more preferable to a microfiber bag.

A bag ripped right at the connection between the vacuum and the bag when I went to put it on my Kirby. Because there was a hole big enough for dirt to exit, I had to dispose of it. guess I could have taped it up, but it was so close to the cardboard piece that pushes onto the vacuum hose that it was extremely difficult.
