I find it so unfortunate that the battery after all these years is still so junky. Over the years, I purchased this from Fred's. They closed their doors several years ago. It has never cost more than 20 bucks, but here we are 3 years later and they are selling for $40 while still using garbage batteries. Though this latest one may have been a dud, since they always fail within a few weeks, I decided to return it. The timer switch I use was given to me even with the wheels instead of slider pads so I charge it over 8 hours but this new battery has already lost its ability to hold a charge. I can no longer sweep a rug without stopping it to charge. As soon as the machine got going after the initial charge, it was a wonderful sweeping machine that lasted through the Since then, it has become so weak that my cats don't even worry about it anymore.

On a daily basis, I take advantage of this product to quickly run around the edges of my hardwood floor. It's difficult to imagine a floor looking better than it does now. A downside of this device is that the battery is obviously very cheap Nickel, which means it charges quite slowly and probably won't last much longer than a year. It's amazing how well this swivel sweeper works! In the past, I have owned one and loved it so much that I bought another one. I'm so glad I bought it again since it makes floor cleaning so easy. The fact that it also works on carpet is great, however, I wouldn't use it to replace regular vacuuming because I don't think it is strong enough. My hope was that it would be able to suck stuff out of the cracks in our hardwood floor, but right now I have to pull out my vacuum for that. It certainly serves its purpose with the daily and quick clean up needs. A vacuum where you would normally have to sweep can be a great way to save time and keep your home clean.
