When I contacted Oreck, they informed me that the machine already included one. 800- 289- Oreck can be reached at +44 (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) (0) 5
Yes, it's a piece of hard plastic that fits over the machine's drum, similar to how scrubber brushes do, and then you simply place it on the pad; it has sharp barbs on it that will adhere to the pad.
If you use multiple pads, buy several of these to make getting good results much easier, especially on laminate floors. We use a three-pass method that produces excellent results: the first pad is used to apply a 50/50 vinegar and water solution, the second buffing pad is used to finish cleaning, and the third pass is used to polish with a lambs wool pad. Get fantastic outcomes. We don't have, and we don't need, a multipurpose machine.

This was supposed to be a replacement for the original drive pad that came with my orbiter, but it wasn't. In my carpet cleaning business, I use the orbiter to agitate heavily soiled carpets before steam cleaning them, as well as to scrub tile and grout. Given how much use it's gotten over the years, the first drive plate has held up pretty well, and this one is identical, so I'm expecting the same. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative+ para I split the upper and lower plastic pieces of my pad drivers to make them work better. Then I take off the white double-sided adhesive and throw away the side with all of the little "hooks. " The reason for this is that those tiny hooks tear up the pads every time you remove them, drastically reducing the life of your pads. After removing the adhesive, I use strong glue to adhere the velcro strips. The velcro will keep the pads in place and save you the trouble of having to sew them together. wear and tear was required.
Added Information – I recently discovered the old one, which was definitely the one with the circle grippers and still had a better grip than a brand new one with the tiny rows of teeth. br>br>Recent changes - This pad had many small teeth that only lasted 3/4 of a room before they started tearing up the backs of my stripper pads, making this a knock off, not a changed product. br>br>This pad had many small teeth that only lasted 3/4 of a room before they started tearing up the backs of my stripper pads, making this a knock off, not a changed product. I previously purchased and received from Amazon the one shown with the rows of round teeth; there has been no design change, as far as I can tell. After removing spray plaster, paint, and carpet glue from two bedrooms, two halls, and a large living room, the one with rows of round teeth was still working perfectly. I wouldn't have had to order this darn thing if'someone' hadn't moved it while rearranging the garage. Now I have to wait until I can get another one and order some new stripper pads because the ones I had were constantly tearing up. You should expect to replace the pad holder every two pads if you don't get the one shown on the screen in the first picture.
However, sanding is not one of them. I purchased this holder after being told by Oreck that I could use their orbital unit as a sander. Oreck will have to explain this brilliantly stupid design a lot. Other than friction and a bit of luck, the sanding pads have no way of attaching to the Oreck unit. Unfortunately, once the machine is turned on, neither of them works reliably. I spent more time retrieving and repositioning the sanding sheet than actually sanding, and as a result, the sheet will wear unevenly and quickly; calling Oreck's technical center is also pointless, because they told me to disregard the original instructions; Their new instructions were even more ineffective, and this holder could be harmed as a result. They were probably just trying to get me off the phone with their explanation. By the way, because I used up my sanding sheets too quickly, I was able to find rectangular sheets of the same sanding material for a fraction of the price in HD's rental department, but you'll have to cut your own circles. Perhaps you could rent a proper sander while you're at HD.
Unfortunately, the vendor promotes an Orek pulidora accessory that is not original, does not reattach the pads in their original location, and, worse, destroys them. I bought some gorila pads that were very expensive, and I had to put my cleaning on hold because I was practically destroying the cleaning pad right away. Disgusted by the vendor's deception in using an original photo of the pad to instill confidence in the purchase, but then sending a completely different one. What a pity that buyers aren't buying from this seller!.
It also isn't compatible with the orb550mc. It's a tad too squeezable! br>br>It also bows inwards in the middle, implying that the edges were the only thing that could have worked. br>br>So, no, it's not going to work!.
The product number does not match the advertised Oreck number in the product listing, and it will not last. I contacted Oreck, who confirmed my suspicions. Purchase from a reputable vendor!.
The cleaning discs are firmly held in place by this. This one is far more durable than the stock one that came with the machine.
I discovered that this drive pad holder was already included when I purchased the Oreck 700XL for buffing in Woca oil on our new "french oak" Teka, Catalina Home, smoked oak, wood flooring (applied well with a microfiber paint roller brush), so purchasing it separately was unnecessary. The white cleaner pad worked well in working the oil into the wood, with only a few wood chips getting into the fibers over the 300 square foot area. ft. area.
