Simply take the solution tank out of the back of your unit to do so. Only clean water will be dispensed by your SmartWash at this point.

If you push it forward, water and soap will be applied. When you pull it back, the water/soap is sucked up. Is it necessary to return and collect every last drop of water? It's no problem if you press the "dry only" button. I cleaned the carpet in 15 minutes, and the water in the bottom tank was so filthy that I'm going to have to redo it in a week or two. If it lasts a year, it'll have more than earned its spot, and if it breaks, I'll buy it again. My 15-year-old carpet hasn't looked this tan and lovely in a long time, and my wheelchair spews the most muck. From my vantage point, the carpets won't appear as bad.
The screws have rusted and the plastic has turned yellow after a couple of years. The machine is extremely simple to clean. However, dust collects along the inside of the plastic piece, which is difficult to clean. Pipe cleaners and other long scrubbing tools haven't worked for me. I've used three different carpet cleaners in the past, and this one, which is a medium-sized carpet cleaner, is my favorite. It isn't overly large or heavy. I own a cat and two dogs. As a result, my carpets have been cleaner as a result of this. HOOVER- I have a suggestion. Close the holes in the screws and darken the plastic!.
It had been eight years since my carpet had been professionally cleaned. This machine was simple to operate, and the cleaning fluid smelled wonderful. It appeals to me.
This machine is very easy to use, and I had my rugs professionally cleaned seven months ago, and the water came out black with this machine, indicating that it really cleans! Cleaning was simple, except for under the brush guard, which had hair stuck inside; I cleaned it with a wired formed into a loop. Let's hope it'll be just as effective in the spring!.
The carpet will be cleaned and dried as a result of this procedure. There's no need to use fans to dry the carpet any longer!.

This is an excellent product; the suction is strong, and the spinning brushes penetrate the carpet deeply. Although I wish the hand-held adapter had a spinning brush, which I believe it should have in order to maximize cleaning power. Aside from that, I can't say I have anything negative to say about this product.
