Please do not purchase! These aren't brand new. They must be refurbished or returned merchandise that is being sold as new. I placed two orders, and both times the cleaner arrived scuffed, dirty, and without the contents of the box. The upholstery wand was missing the first time, the users manual was missing the second time, and both times the cleaning and pretreat samples mentioned in the description were missing. I'm disappointed because the cleaner looks fantastic and is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'll have to look elsewhere to purchase it. Again, this is not a brand-new item, and if it is, Hoover's inspectors should be fired for allowing items to leave the plant in such a state.

but. So that's a start. This device is fantastic. The suction is better than any other machine I've used before. br>It's also very easy to clean, which was a big plus for me. I have three daughters and three large dogs, so cleaning the hair from the bristles was difficult. br>My only gripe is that when the dirty water container fills up, the suction does not automatically shut off, and the water sprays out and onto the wall. I've simply been paying attention in order to prevent it from occurring. However, it is inconvenient because the walls must now be cleaned!.

This is extremely simple to push and pull, as well as to clean out. I also like the dry only option, which keeps rugs and carpets from getting wet. I vacuumed it right before cleaning the carpets because it had picked up SO much dog hair from our living room rug! My mother uses a bissel cleaner, but this one is far superior!.

Okay, a lot more than a "tiny bit. " I use my carpet cleaner twice a week, but not on the same areas of the house each time, so I can get other things done around the house. In my home, I have five children, one grandchild, and two dogs, not to mention the fact that I live in Arizona, which means there is a lot of dirt!! THANK YOU for making cleaning the brushes so much easier! But the dirty water tank was made so difficult to empty and clean that I deducted a star. First and foremost, how do they expect you to grip the lid and pour properly? Then they added a lip all the way around the dirty water tank, so you have to be careful when rinsing out the sediment and hair. And one problem that all carpet cleaner manufacturers fail to address is the need to "cover all screws near water," as these become rusted and hair-encrusted. ewwww! Instead of bristles, the upholstery hand tool now has these clever silicon scrubbers, which are great for not damaging your nice couch and chair fabrics. My old Hoover Dual Action carpet cleaner used a lot more water and cleaner than this one, indicating that I was overdoing it with the trigger design, which is common among clean freaks because we see dirt EVERYWHERE! Finally, I must explain why I prefer Hoover. I used to work as a house cleaner and have seen firsthand which brands provide specific benefits. Hoover can handle a lot of demanding work for a long time; on average, a Hoover Carpet Cleaner lasts me 5 years. 6 years, and I expect this new one to last even longer due to my improved ability to clean it and maintain it. (Keeping it clean is essential for it to last!) The Bissell I owned lasted one year with only two children and no dogs. Why would I spend money on a "chance" that Bissell has improved after 5 years when I am satisfied with Hoover? Oh, I hope Hoover reads this and considers addressing the aforementioned issues in their next model upgrades! 😉.

This carpet cleaner is fantastic! I've previously used a Rug Doctor, but it was cumbersome and couldn't reach all the way to the edge of my carpets. This Hoover is small and compact, allowing it to get right up against the wall and furniture. I chose to test it in a room where my dogs don't go very often, and it still picked up all of the dirt shown. It performed admirably in my hallway and stairwell. Order the Paws and Claws solution in the value size; it'll save you money. You're not going to return this cleaner! The sample bottle provided was sufficient to get me started where I needed it most, but you'll need more solution if you need to clean your entire house right away after receiving it. Cleaning it is also a breeze: To make maintenance easier, the rollers and suction area can be removed. I can't recommend this cleaner highly enough!.
