I finally got around to installing this to replace an earlier version that was a complete waste of time. What a stark contrast. It's as if they realized (1) how difficult it is to get into a tight space beneath the sink and (2) how much abuse a trash can mechanism can take. This is a solid piece of equipment. The base is secured with eight screws. I swear it took 5 minutes flat using a power screwdriver. Worth it. Don't bother with the other flimsy versions with white paint.

This is now in my kitchen sink cabinet. Because I didn't want to drill into my landlord's new cabinets, I anchored it to the cabinet floor with 14 small Command strips. With this, I'll be able to use up the last of my 13 gallon bags. They appear to be in good working order, and I'm very pleased with this product!.

The Lamborghini of the kitchen is simple human products. They're worth the money because of their functionality, ease of installation, and years of use they'll provide. My cabinet door wouldn't hit it, so I installed it at an angle. (My measurements were exact, so there was no room for error. )br>Word of Caution- The "d" liners are the ones that Amazon recommends as an add-on. The main garbage can is labeled "g," and your recycling container is labeled "d. " The recycling liners should be blue, which isn't a big deal in the end, but I'd prefer the liner to be the same color.

Because of the small kitchen in my new (older) home, I purchased this. It fits perfectly under the sink, though I had to make a minor adjustment to the drain pipes to make it fit. br>br>I installed it a few months ago and have yet to receive any negative feedback. It appears to be extremely durable, and I am confident that it will last for many years. br>br>For the record, I didn't want to spend the money on SimpleHuman's fancy fitted trash bags, so I'm using standard Glad drawstring kitchen bags, which fit perfectly.

The trash and recycling bins are fantastic in their own right - In the kitchen, this will help you save a lot of space. It glides effortlessly. It was a breeze to put together. I was enraged because I had purchased the D-package. sized trash bags, assuming they would fit in the trash can. They're just the right size for the recycling bin, though! (The trash can is a G-sized container. ) Worse, the D- isn't even a good grade. I'm stuck with a bunch of bags I can't use but paid $15 for because the sizes I got aren't recyclable.

It's ideal for a couple or a single person. It has gotten a lot of positive feedback from my friends. This purchase has made me very happy! To keep gnats out of the cabinet, we nailed rubber door lining around the door. It's been working flawlessly.

For a long time, we had been storing things in a plastic storage tote in the kitchen's corner, and it was getting a little cluttered. The bin would overflow and no one would want to carry it outside to empty it, so recyclables would overflow into the sink. It was driving me insane!! br>br>As a solution, I purchased a trash barrel that we could hide away, and LET ME TELL YOU, THIS PRODUCT HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES FOR THE BETTER. It's a breeze to empty the barrel: It was easy to install with a power drill by simply removing the liner and tossing it into the barrel outside. To stabilize the base, I only used four of the eight screws. It appears to be perfectly safe in this state. I made sure the base of the slider was in the right spot so I could pull the barrel all the way out and clear the drawer knobs above it. The barrel can easily be removed from the rack in this manner. br>br>I'd also like to point out that the Simple Human bags have a better design than most leading brands, and a small sample pack of trash bags is included with the purchase of the pull-out trash can. out of the barrel In addition, I purchased a 60-pack of blue recycling bags. These trash bags appear to be made of a thicker plastic than most others. If you don't want to spend the money on Simple Human bags, any 30L/8 gal bag will suffice.

Before ordering, I tried to get a sense of the size, but I expected them to be larger. I returned them and was required to pay return shipping, which I do not believe I should have been required to do because the product is not worth $80. The trash cans are made of a flimsy plastic material. Although the frame appeared to be sturdy, the trash cans themselves did not appear to be as durable as the frame. It would be difficult to find trash cans in unusual shapes and sizes. I wish this company would show a picture of these trash cans (actual size) inside a kitchen cabinet (actual size). Customers were able to see how small they were. Because I did not receive return shipping, I will not purchase from this company again.
