I'm looking for something that stands no more than 18 inches tall. The specifications state that it should be 15" tall, but someone wrote that it should be 2 feet tall? What's the difference?

It easily fits beneath my kitchen sink

This is a nice trash can, and I was impressed with the umboxing. It was purchased to fit under the sink in my small apartment kitchen. Fits large Kirkland trash bags with enough lip to hang over so the bag doesn't collapse when you put something in it, heh. The plastic does feel a little thin, and if you have a lot of sharp edges in your trash, it could be easily punctured.

I found a great Norwegian military surplus backpack with a sturdy steel frame that I wanted to modify with Canterbury's help, and the dimensions of this Rubbermaid waste basket were PERFECT for fitting into the central compartment of my surplus rucksack. To insulate my trash can shell and tools, all I need now is a waterproof dry bag as the main liner. This is a very useful wastebasket

This wastebasket is the perfect size for under the sink storage. It's a good fit for grocery store plastic bags. It saves me money because I don't have to buy garbage bags, and I don't have to throw away the plastic bags from the grocery store because I reused them.

the- Bin in the kitchen sink The sink trap is right behind it, and there's a post between the two cabinet doors in our 1975 house. Working under the sink is a pain, and finding a trash can that fits is even more difficult. I was thinking about using duct tape, but when I saw that Rubbermaid still had a few on hand, I decided to go ahead and buy one. br>br>The plastic is thicker than the bin it replaces, and if the previous one was any indication of durability, I expect this one to last a long time as well. This is an excellent option for those who have limited space but still need a lot of storage.

These numbers were posted by the sellers, but they did not specify which number corresponds to which dimension. Two of them, one for trash and the other for recycling, will fit in my current drawer. A standard 13 gallon kitchen trash bag fits inside. It could be a little bigger, because you won't be able to fill a bag, which is a little "wasteful" for a trash can. Aside from that, it's of the high quality you'd expect from Rubbermaid.
