Under the sink, we had been keeping our compost in 1 gal. resealable bags. Because we love the shape of this compost bucket, we're happy to keep it right on the counter, which makes life easier. There is no odor at all since the liners in the interior have handles so they are easy to remove and carry to the compost barrel in the yard. There was one drawback, and that was that fruit flies were everywhere else down in the lower level, especially in the kitchen. Their bites are not severe, but their presence is annoying. Thus, we ended up putting the 1 gallon resealable bag (or you can buy the compostable bag) inside the bucket so that we could get rid of As a result, having the bucket to begin with ended up defeating the purpose when we had to go back to using a bag instead. We were able to rid ourselves of the flies once we began using the bag inside. In that respect, it is still preferable to have it on the counter, as opposed to Here are just a few warnings The fruit flies will be attracted to your table if you don't use a bag.
In spite of its cuteness, it doesn't seem trashy on a countertop. Since it's so small, the filter is a joke, so I take it out of the bin daily. There is no time for anything to start smelling, and for goodness sake, do not compost smelly materials, such as In addition, it is wasteful to purchase a charcoal filter again Put the charcoal filter in the sun for a day to reactivate it if you're concerned about This item is as good as new and will not cost you any more It is a given that the inner bin is much smaller than the can - it is not a bad design but it doesn't work for me. Despite its snug fit, it does not comfortably fit. In other words, you do not actually get a 1 gallon bin, you actually get about 15% less. Last but not least, this company's customer service is incredibly It is only possible to talk to a bot via Facebook Messenger, which restricts you from leaving any other reply than its preselected one. It didn't let me in any way indicate that I had a problem with my order, so I wanted to ask if I had been accidentally sent too small of a bin. The creeps are out in full force.
My kitchen island looks great with this little compost bucket, I like how the charcoal lid keeps the odors out so that I can empty it every few days rather than every couple of hours. With the removable compost liner bucket, I can put it right into the compost bin without any hassle. Liner bucket (which holds compost) can be washed and dried, then put back into metal bucket and made to look good. The product is something I would purchase again, and I may just do that if I built a compost bin for the wife I separated from. Love is what drives us to do what we do.
Until we take our compostables outside, I have been trying to find something to keep them on the counter until we take them to the green bin. There are a lot of things you can compost right on your counter, according to what I found. Sorry, that's not for me! This is something I will leave to the professionals. With this, I feel that we are doing our part. The inner bucket can be easily removed to go right into the green can. I get the heaviest green can and never fill it to capacity, but I feel that we are doing our part with this. After washing it, I bring it in, fill it with warm water and soap, and dry it on Next, I put a moist paper towel in the bottom so the food doesn't stick to it, and it is Using this without a bag works well for us because I tried using the compostable bags, but they seemed to leak a bit. It is an awesome product!.
The device is working quite well, there are no bugs or smells around it, however, it's larger than I had thought, and the lid just lays on top of it without much support.
container made of metal containing a plastic bucket with handles. It is a pretty item. There is so much easier access to the bucket inside, and cleaning it is so much quicker! Having this kind of composter will prolong the life of your composter significantly! This is so wonderful, I bought one for my son and his wife, who use it regularly, and my 8 year old has been taking a lot of interest in how fresh fruits and vegetables decompose into the soil. Our purchase is absolutely odor free, and we are thrilled with this product! The main reason I would recommend it is for its ease of use, as well as its ability to collect leftover plant waste and In our garden and when working with the plants, we always add compost that has decomposed. Also, there are a lot of worms, so it can't be bad!.
This device is great because it has an internal pail inside that can be removed when it's time to empty it into the compost bin. As well as rinsing the bucket between trips outside, I will also wipe it down so it does not become soiled. Our pail is smaller than our compost bucket so we have to empty it at least once a week. This also helps with It is also very proud of me to say that we have had ZERO fruit flies and ZERO ants in our home after using this for a month. There is a lid that prevents smells from entering the container. The conclusion is I would recommend this company ten out of ten. I love how cute it is, it goes well with the decor in my kitchen, and it does an excellent job. After I have emptied it, I sometimes store the pail outside, where I keep yard trimmings, and brown leaves that I will also toss in.
It's kinda gross, this is. It was my first time using it, so I wanted to see how it went. The food scraps in the composite bucket were left there for more than It opened so well outside. I'm so glad I did that! Upon entering the house, we found no sign of rotting food, smell, bugs, or anything else. Once I opened the lid outside, I was greeted by the horrible smell along with a multitude of fruit flies. There was even some liquefaction of the food at the bottom, oh no! Then I emptied it, sprayed it with a hose, put the inner plastic bin in my dishwasher (which I am so glad it has so that I don't have to use bags), and started it. The spick and span came out Despite the positive aspects, there is one negative the handle on the plastic bucket is metal, and if you do a similar experiment to mine, you will find some metal damage from some source I am not quite sure about. It looks much better with some steel wool. I love this bucket because it is just the right size and the inner plastic bin is fantastic!.
