My kitchen island looks great with this little compost bucket, I like how the charcoal lid keeps the odors out so that I can empty it every few days rather than every couple of hours. With the removable compost liner bucket, I can put it right into the compost bin without any hassle. Liner bucket (which holds compost) can be washed and dried, then put back into metal bucket and made to look good. The product is something I would purchase again, and I may just do that if I built a compost bin for the wife I separated from. Love is what drives us to do what we do.

Until we take our compostables outside, I have been trying to find something to keep them on the counter until we take them to the green bin. This device is great because it has an internal pail inside that can be removed when it's time to empty it into the compost bin. As well as rinsing the bucket between trips outside, I will also wipe it down so it does not become soiled. Our pail is smaller than our compost bucket so we have to empty it at least once a week. It's kinda gross, this is. It was my first time using it, so I wanted to see how it went. The food scraps in the composite bucket were left there for more than It opened so well outside. I'm so glad I did that! Upon entering the house, we found no sign of rotting food, smell, bugs, or anything else. Once I opened the lid outside, I was greeted by the horrible smell along with a multitude of fruit flies. There was even some liquefaction of the food at the bottom, oh no! Then I emptied it, sprayed it with a hose, put the inner plastic bin in my dishwasher (which I am so glad it has so that I don't have to use bags), and started it. The spick and span came out Despite the positive aspects, there is one negative the handle on the plastic bucket is metal, and if you do a similar experiment to mine, you will find some metal damage from some source I am not quite sure about. It looks much better with some steel wool. I love this bucket because it is just the right size and the inner plastic bin is fantastic!.
