It's just a container you keep in the kitchen for your kitchen scraps to use on the composter outside. This is a piece of furniture you'd want in your kitchen, I assure you. Unless you run outside to the composter constantly, you'll be constantly running from one place to another. My bin seals tight and includes carbon filters, so I don't have to worry about smells or bugs. I keep it on the counter and empty it sometimes into the composter.
