Two times it has been damaged! A brief update It is difficult to attach the bucket's lid to it Fruit flies can enter if there are cracks in the screen. As they fly all over the composter, they make a lot of noise.

While it does reduce the odor, it does not eliminate it completely. I am not allowed to use compostable bags at the center, so I cannot protect the enamel from scraps. I really like the styling and the size of this, but the quality isn't there so it won't last very long due to the rust. I'm hoping it's a more useful item than this one.

There's nothing I would have wanted more from an indoor compost bin than this. I find it attractive and it matches the decor in our farmhouse kitchen. Whenever there is no odor, there is no odor. There haven't been any fruit fly problems at our resort, contrary to some reviewers. In addition to the size, I am most happy with the amount of space it holds. I didn't want to have to trek to the compost bin every day, and we don't have to do so now that we have this indoor bin. I was able to clean it in no time at all. Basically, we washed it off with hot soapy water and soaked it for a bit. This is a good idea We will be able to use this for years to come, as it is well built.

It took me a long time to read the description and review before I decided to purchase. Fruit flies have not been a problem for me thus far, but I dump out the contents daily and it's not summer where I live. The lid is not airtight, but it fits Neither my cats nor the scrap bowl will touch it anymore. This charcoal filter does come with replacement filters, but I hope to extend their life by placing them in the sun periodically to air them out (this is recommended for all charcoal products -> It is recommended to place charcoal bags in the sun at least once a week so as to freshen the air). It's great that it has a handle so that I can use it to carry it Despite its size, it holds lots of scrap pieces and does not appear to be too small.

Fruit flies still enjoy it, which is my only complaint. Initially, I thought the compost bucket would discourage bugs, but it doesn't. At least it does not smell and looks In my opinion, it is worth purchasing A big plus is that it's a great.

I'd definitely buy it again. Exactly what I was looking for! Weighs less than 2 pounds, looks good, and it's odorless! I also received a great deal of extra charcoal filters. It is tight but not too tight so you can open the lid with one hand. I really appreciate that you can open it with one hand. Not a smell to be found. Excellent review! Do not hesitate to give it a try! Great product. I'd definitely buy it again.

We do a lot of juicing and this can handle leftover pulp. I also have a smaller one, but I really like this one. It looks good on my counter, fits nicely, and is handy for storing leftover pulp. This makes me feel good to be doing something positive for the environment. I line my can with a compostable bag and toss it into my compost pile.
