A lot of money was spent on this. There are numerous cracks in the wood, which is not Despite looking okay from a distance, it has numerous flaws when you get close. It is "finished" by lightly wiping it with some sort of stain, while allowing the raw wood to show Although it may fit your decor if you have a rustic space, if you want a bit more polish, this is not the piece for you.
