I doubt it, because the part that slides over the wooden shelf would have less support from a wire shelf, which is often thicker on the front edge than the rest of the shelf. This same company also makes a wire shelf divider, so I recommend looking into that option.
My shelves are made of wood. I'm not sure if they'd fall over if the fit was too loose. Measure the height of the wire shelf's edge; if it's less than one inch, they should fit.

They might work, but keep in mind that they are 12" deep and will hang over an inch or so.

These are fantastic! They kept my linen closet from becoming a jumble of messes. They simply slide onto your shelf and make a difference in your life.
I needed something to keep my purses organized on the shelf in my closet. I saw some acrylic ones with good reviews but they were too expensive, so I found these and they're perfect! They're easy to put together and don't damage my painted wood shelf.
Exactly what I needed to organize purses and clutches of various sizes on my closet's top shelf. The paint was not harmed by the coated "spring" that holds the shelves in place. I would strongly suggest it.
I only wish I had bought this a long time ago. It was a huge help in terms of organization.
These shelf dividers are absolutely stunning! I've been trying to figure out how to organize my plethora of handbags on my closet shelf. I'd try to organize them all the time, but they'd always get messed up again after I used one. I finally began looking for a way to pull one out when I needed it without causing the rest of them to fall over. br>I came across these fantastic dividers! Because I have so many handbags, I wish they would make some that would fit on top of these to create a second shelf. Don't get me wrong: these dividers have been extremely beneficial! I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and they are incredibly simple to use! The packaging was excellent, and I didn't even need to read the instructions because they were so simple to follow. It's quite effective. It's not strong enough to hold anything heavy against it, but it worked well to keep my daughters' purses separated on the closet shelf. I deducted a star because I expected it to sit flush against the shelf, but it doesn't. It barely protrudes from the shelf by an inch.
I'm quite pleased with them. Although the advertisement states that they are for wood shelves, I took a chance and found that they also work on wire shelving. I liked them so much that I ordered an additional set of eight.
(Is this a little excessive?) My closet shelves were literally piled high with shorts, swimsuits, and workout gear. You know how it feels when you strip down to your underwear and - uh - Is it possible to store them? Now that they're all organized, every time I go into my closet, I feel like I'm shopping for new clothes. - It's so neat and tidy - It's all in its proper place. In this chaotic world, it's a wonderful feeling.
