Everything from a pencil to a regular-sized Sharpie is available, except the king-sized Sharpie. sized. I keep mine in my desk to keep a sharpie where I need it- I also keep my dry erase fine point pens on the fridge.
Yes. These clips are extremely effective. They have a powerful magnetic attraction to each other. I wish I had purchased them earlier.
No, I do not believe that is true. There are no sharp edges where the pen slides in because the metal is completely smooth. Some of my thinner pens that don't have any "grip" slide right out because the surface is so smooth!
I haven't tried it, but I can tell you that sliding pens or pencils in and out of the holder is difficult. It's a lot easier to just pull everything together - pen & holder - putting it to good use That said, I hope you have a sturdy music stand, because these magnets are STRONG!

I didn't buy these expecting them to be extraordinary, but when they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how effective they are. I keep one next to a message pad on the doorframe of my office. It's never used because people would rather text me inappropriately than pop the rainbow-colored balloon. I'll take the colored pencil out of the holder and write the same message on the pad so I'm not bothered when I'm off work. As a result, I'm wondering if the concept of a magnetic pen/pencil holder is too advanced at my workplace. Even though the second one has been deployed to allow easy recording of supply usage and the pen, holder, and supply reorder list appear to be in perfect condition, we're still out of copy paper. In all seriousness, the magnet is strong, the coil firmly holds but easily releases whatever you stick in it, and it allows me to decorate my office door with a rainbow pencil, so there you have it.
These are great for keeping a pencil in place on the fridge. The only issue is that getting a pen or pencil with any type of clip over the holder is difficult, so you'll have to insert it from the bottom. The only issue is that the pens I use have a rubber casing on the bottom to make them easier to grip, so they don't go on smoothly from either end. They'd be great for a smooth pen or pencil, and they don't take up a lot of space.
The magnet came out when I took it down to move it after only a day. It's fine now that I've pressed it back on, but I'm not going to move it again unless it's by sliding. One of the springs has already come loose, but these are still perfect for our task board.
I was sick of reaching to the top of the fridge to find my pen so I could write something on my grocery list, which was already magnetized to the fridge. This keeps my pen near my list, where it can be easily found and used.
This is exactly what I needed to keep pens from floating away from the door-mounted calendar.
These clips stretch to fit any side pen you need to attach to the fridge or anywhere else you need a pen all of the time.
I keep a magnet grocery list pad on our refrigerator at all times so we can quickly jot down items we're running low on - prior to our forgetfulness! The issue was that we had to go looking for a pen all of the time. That is no longer the case! The magnets are strong, and the expandable loop allows them to hold a variety of pen sizes. The list is now exactly where I need it to be, and a pen is always nearby.
This was discovered while my son was searching on Amazon. It's ideal because it can be tucked away out of the way while still being useful. So far, it's been very durable, stretching to fit a thicker pen but shrinking to fit a smaller one.
