The product is just starting to be used, but so far we have experienced some difficulties In the side with the white square covers, it easily pops away when weight is put on the line, so we decided to not put any covers on it and just put it without them, but we can't fully rely on it since the covers are what allow it to stay Because of this, I only wore a very little amount of clothing. We just moved into a new(ish) laundry room, so this is part of it. The laundry room was still under construction when I installed this retractable clothes line, so I had to attach the ends to structural members (2 X 4's), rather than sheetrock, since the laundry room was still under construction when I installed it. As a result, I won't have to worry about it digging out of sheetrock because I accidentally overloaded it. This retractable clothes line appears to be very strong, even when holding up an object that is very wet, such as a quilt.

The only concern I have about it is that as it ages, it might not fully retract. The spring is not a problem currently, but it does seem to be sluggish when pulling in the last few feet of line. A stronger spring, or maybe a spring that can be tightened, would have been an excellent addition to this fairly high-end model. I'd think knocking off a star would be a bit premature at the moment, since it's doing fine.

The curtain was able to be sturdy and held in place with no problem. When I need it, I can slide it across the entire room and when I am not using it, I can slide it to the slide.

There will be a problem if you try to use it in corners - If the components are installed in the wall, the main hub does not latch onto the metal plate. I'm not sure if I am too weak to pull this off, but it absolutely refuses to latch onto the metal plate. Like I said, you might be able to slide it on, but a corner doesn't provide a large enough area to align it next to the plate and slide it In terms of the other side, where the extendable line hooks into, this also presents a problem. A similar thing is happening - The covers that go on the metal plates won't stay on, resulting in you having to clean up your freshly washed clothes on the floor because the plastic covers fail to stay on. I find the design terrible, since the setting for the extending line knob is located in the weak plastic instead of the sturdy plate that's fixed to I devoted a lot of time and energy to trying to make this work, but it just didn't happen. I will be waiting to hear from you when you find a line that is.

There is no need to add any additional hardware. The line stays tight very well and is very durable and easy to use. However, I did have a little difficulty installing it which is why I gave it four out of five.

Putting up a clothesline in the laundry room is a great idea. The only place to hang the few things that can't be dried by the dryer is on the wire rack. slight sag to the line if there are a large number of things hung on it, but not enough to hinder the use of the line. Once you're done using them, they retract very well and they're out of the way.

I use it a few times already and it works just fine, the length of the cable is about what I wanted compared to other brands, but I wish the main plastic box was a better material to last a long time. Overall I am pleased.
