I don't think it has a removal problem. Although the handles are very sturdy, it is easy to carry.
As far as the lid goes, I think it will hold up pretty well. As easy as it is to shred upholstered furniture, so would side panels.
It does have a magnet to close up the lid when I purchased it. In spite of this, since the fabric covers it, it does not provide a strong hold. It is possible that your hamper is defective if it doesn't hold.
If you fold it, it's 13" by 13". When folded, it's practically identical to folding a piece of cardboard.

It would have been better if he had been twice as tall.
As a matter of fact, all I did was look at the picture, and offcourse, that picture is deceiving. Upon receiving it, it was a doll house size hamper. When I looked at it, it appeared to be both long and adult-sized.
A hamper this cheap didn't try to impress me too much, but on the plus side, I expected it to have the features it wanted to have. As a result, there are no magnets on the lid, and it cannot be shut. There is still enough room in the room for the hamper to be fitted in, but it is not ideally placed. A cheap little hamper with no lid or a lid that doesn't close isn't a bad price if that's all you want. It's too much labour for me to return it, so I'm keeping it but it isn't what I expected.
When it was assembled, I had exactly what I wanted. That hamper isn't that easy to put together (or maybe I'm just a dummy), but once it is, it is perfect. Living overseas and in a small room similar to a dorm room is my job. I love this hamper because it's the perfect size to fit The laundry bag is placed inside it, and I simply pull it out when it's time to do laundry. My heart ached when I saw the laundry bag lying there. Using this method is much cleaner and better suited to the space available.
As you've seen a million times, this is just a standard laundry container. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they invented that goofy, half weak magnets, half Velcro that was attached to nothing! My understanding of the phenomenon is limited. Eventually, I found the metal pieces hidden under the cloth covering and knew what I had to do to attach it. I love the goofy design of that lid. On the other hand, it does work quite well as an otherwise perfectly acceptable.
It resembles a hamper, but it actually gets used as a snack box. From its height, you can see that it is not very tall, so I am not sure how anyone would use this as a hamper, but when used for what I am using it for, it is excellent. It can be adjusted to fit your needs, so you can make it shorter or taller if you wish. It is a very good product! I am extremely satisfied with it!.

Upon delivery, it was quickly assembled in two minutes, and it was able to fit perfectly into the space I had measured it for. The decision to give this 4 stars took me a while, but I thought it was generous of me to award it that. The colors and the sleek, simple look of it are what drew me to this particular item (which is the main reason that I chose it). It has magnets to hold the lid in place. The lid is Velcro'd in the back and has magnets on the front. It came at a reasonable price, but when I folded it to put it together I was not very impressed with the product. Inside is a cardboard box that is thinner than a regular shipping box and pretty fragile. If you're looking for a hamper to last then this isn't the one for you! It won't hold my teenagers' clothes nor my husband's work clothes, so if you want something to last then this isn't the hamper for you. In the end, everything went well and I had no intentions or thoughts of returning the item until I noticed the stain (picture attached). While I know it's just a stain, I was a little grossed out after reading Amazon reviews for many products that had blood stains on them. There is no way to know The cause of my dislike for stains is not clear to me. Since I debating exchanging it due to the stain, I'm thinking about returning it for something different. After thinking so much about the quality of the product for the sake of writing an honest review, I am thinking about returning it. I would say that it looks pretty nice for very light use, but I would say that it wouldn't last for very long if it were more heavily used.
