Handles are located on both sides.
There is enough room for a large ornament in each compartment. Wrapping smaller ones and putting more than one in every compartment helps keep them fresh. Approximately three or four inches square would be the size of the compartments. It is possible to increase the size of the compartments by removing one or more slots. Thank you. I hope this was helpful.
It is a square-shaped storage unit. Your ornament will fit perfectly into a square storage area if it is able to fit inside. There's no need to limit it to ornamental balls - anything that fits will work just fine. Hallmark ornaments are a thing of the past for me. Most don't have a problem fitting in, except for the largest. It seems that I have quite a few more ornamental figures in this container (snowmen, grinch, santas, reindeers, etc) than ornamental balls.
I store them in my storage totes, but it is thick canvas.

As you may know, I did a massive "Christmas in June" back in the summer of 2017, which included everything from my Xmas tree to ornaments and decorations, and my shopping spree also included storage. My goal was to buy this to store all the new ornaments I purchased, and I was feeling a bit disappointed by its quality when I first placed it in storage over the summer. With Christmas over, I have gathered my thoughts on this storage box. The following are my thoughts on this box. There is virtue in its functionality because it is able to safely store 64 ornaments, representing an array of sizes and shapes (ranging from small balls to large tree ornaments). Despite its small size, I was able to fill this nearly to the brim with all kinds of bulbs and Among the things I did not like about this were two things The fold is 2) The 16 spaces each have are the same way as a crisscross There is a cross of cardboard dividers on top of a cardboard "floor", which is only held in place by gravitational force. As soon as you try to remove a tray, the "walls" covering the outside spaces are removed as well. So if there is anything in it, good luck keeping it from As for removing trays, this is also hard to do as the cardboard dividers go on the cardboard floor when the items are in them. There is no actual binding that holds them together, so it is very difficult to remove them "as a tray". 2) Because of the nature of the trays and the difficulty of actually removing a tray while something is still in it, accessing any lower trays from a full box is pretty much impossible without taking every ornament out of every tray that sits above the one you want to reach. It is true that you really would have to remove each ornament from every tray in order to access the one beneath it, as nothing holds the tray to its floor or prevents the ornaments in the outer spaces from falling out once removed from the box. As you can see, it looks like a The reverse of a turn also holds. It can be filled from the bottom up, but you must fill all trays one by one if you want to fill an empty box.
As a result of this, the Storage Box DOES solve long-term storage needs. If your ornaments are stored for a long time, you might be willing to fill each tray from the bottom up after every Christmas and empty each tray from the top up when it comes time to display your ornaments next year. Any tray above the one above the ornaments makes it nearly impossible to preview what's on the lower trays. You have a great option here if this is not a problem for you. In case you are bothered by the things I described, I suggest exploring other options. It's already time for me to retire this storage device after just one holiday season. When I decorate my tree, I like to look at all the ornaments I own, but if they are all in one box, that is impossible. Several plastic bags were found in the house.
You should only use this if you're storing things that are very light. There are a lot of features and a lot of storage capacity, but it is made from some of the most flimsy materials available. Here is a picture of what happened when I tried to pick this up once it had been filled. Its handle just.
To begin with, I thought it would be a waste to invest in it. That's what a gimmick is. That's not happening! These are amazing! I love them! The shed is our only storage space because we don't have a basement, garage or attic. Our husband lugs the huge Rubbermaid chest with all the decorations, ornaments, and so on up a flight of stairs each year, and it seems to get heavier and heavier each year. However, the chest itself is a mess of multiple sizes of boxes filled with ornaments and other decorations even though they're not heavy. The items I can consolidate are in a number of boxes but they are not organized at all. It is wonderful to play with these cubes. Due to the fact that nothing is permanent (they are meant to be taken apart when not in use and stored flat when not in use), you can easily enlarge the sections as required. All of my ornaments, even those oddly shaped or oversized, could be stored in one place because I organised them this way. tucked several dividers in at the top of the book after using them, but others went unused. Even the Christmas stockings and some small standalone decorations (not ornaments) fit within the space. As a result, all of these items can be stored up on a shelf in my laundry room, instead of jamming them into that Rubbermaid chest
They are made of fabric, which makes them lightweight even when fully stuffed. Sewing appears to have been done securely to the handles. It was easy to zip up and shut. Even though the huge storage chest is still heavy, we were able to utilize its storage space by removing all the odd-shaped boxes and store the outdoor decorations (bought just this year) in the chest. The boxes the decorations came in were recycled, and our shed uses less space. In case your space is limited or you are tired of re-organizing, there are plenty of solutions to try Wrapping and repacking I highly recommend this product if you are planning to box several ornaments every year.
About halfway through removing my Christmas tree, I decided it was time to take it down. Using my new ornament storage box, I've found it to be flexible enough for ornaments of different sizes and easy to wall to wall assemble since I'll be adding ornaments to it over time. It is a great storage box. If I have more ornaments, I would purchase it.
As opposed to the box top vs. zippered It holds quite a bit for the amount of room required to store it. The zippered top instead of the box top is much more convenient for me. In total, I used dividers only in the bottom two levels (of 3), and only partially in the second Since the divider squares do not accommodate long or large round bulbs, this is the reason. I liked the fact that you can customize it as much as you want. The top layer is used exclusively for large handcrafted ornaments without any I was able to add my tree skirt to the top layer as well, which is not shown on the picture.
On each level, there are three support shelves to place over dividers. My only regret would be that I might not have put a support shelf on the bottom to begin with, but saved it for the top instead. The amount of support you need for storage relies on whether you need more support on the bottom or top.
The pieces I put together this morning were perfect and I love them so much! We found them to fit nicely with our ornaments. I later tried to move them to storage, but one of the handles ripped off and ripped the box as well. Due to the fact I thought I was done with putting away Christmas stuff for the year, I'm frustrated.
