Cotton, which is used to make canvas, is not eaten by moths. I've been using these to protect my sweaters for years. Despite having moth problems in our closets, we never had moths in the clothing stored in these bags.
You don't remember how to wash your clothes. It doesn't have to be washed - The main form of defense is wood - Washing is not advised.
Hello, I'd estimate that mine grew to be around 24 inches in length. Because these aren't hard-sided, you can stuff a lot of stuff inside. I was thinking the same thing at first, but they fill up quickly and stack nicely. They have small, removable cedar planks, which I purchased in bulk because they are durable.
There are cedar inserts, as stated in the description.

I use these storage containers for sweaters and other types of clothing because they are the perfect size. They have a cedar wood bar and a clear viewing panel that allows you to see what's inside each bag. They're strong enough to hold purses as well as shoes and boots. I don't take these with me when I travel. I'm not sure why travel is included in the rating system. These, in my opinion, should only be used for closet storage, organization, and moth protection. I've purchased a number of them and would highly recommend them.
Although the storage bag is large, the Cedar insert is a joke. It was a very thin piece of cedar, and there was no scent of cedar. I'll most likely need to go to Home Depot for something more substantial to protect my woolen blanket.
I'm looking for something that can fit in the top of my closet and is versatile. I was able to stack two on a top shelf because of the amount of give these have, even when they were overstuffed with three boxes' worth of clothes, which I couldn't do with boxes. One of the zippers was a little sticky at first, but it eventually worked fine (I was patient with it and didn't rip it apart by trying to force it. ) ) I just placed a second order for six more. I've recently moved into a new apartment and need to make the most of the available storage space. I also don't want to lose any of my nice sweaters. The cedar plank in the bags isn't particularly fragrant, but that's fine with me. For pest repellent, I'm using lavender sachets from WarmHome, which I purchased on this site. Keeping track of my out-of-pocket expenses It was simply not a good idea to store season clothing in a cardboard box. Hopefully, now that I've kept all of my clothes spotless and stored them in these bags, no one will be tempted to nibble on my pricey possessions. I can't believe I wrote a review for this book. and one that is so long- in relation to storage containers But, because I spent an absurd amount of time researching and reading reviews before purchasing this, I felt compelled to share my thoughts. These made organizing enjoyable, and I guess I'm now officially easily amused.
The item appeared to be a study canvas that could stand on its own in the Amazon image. That is not the case. It's a soft canvas with no sizing or washed-out sizing. As a result, unlike the Amazon image, they aren't really stackable. Yes, they can be stacked, but the bottom one will become mushy. The pocket that holds the cedar wood is only a half-sleeve, which isn't a problem unless you need to store very delicate items, in which case you must be careful not to snag anything on the wood. The sturdy side handles make it easy to grab them from a high shelf. The zippers are strong and the see-through panel is good. These would be perfect if they had plastic corners so that the 'box' could stand on its own, but I'm still glad I have them.
My new Moth Protection Bags have made me very happy! I was able to squeeze two twin-size beds into the space. wool blankets of various sizes in one, with a little extra room. Wool sweaters will be put in the other bag. I'm passing down my aunt's Hope Chest to the next generation, which means I'll have to part with a lot of wool sweaters and socks. The bags are very sturdy, stack easily on closet shelves (or fit under a bed), and I like that they have a cedar wood insert to keep the creepy-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly-crawly- Crawlies, get out of here!.
This is the first time I've left my sweaters in my South Carolina winter home. Apart from the price, what I liked about these bags was that they could fit under the bed and had a cedar bar to keep moths at bay! They have a lot more capacity than I had anticipated. I didn't need the second bag at all! I'll see how well they hold up in the humid, wet weather we have at the beach over time!.
Deceptive advertising because it is flimsy and not as strong as the picture depicts.
I wanted to keep them safe from the elements and moths, so I built a shelter for them. There's a lot of room in this bag. The seams, material, and zipper are all extremely durable. The zipper is smooth and never catches. The cedar insert is a nice touch, and I've also included a cedar block for good measure. The bag is lightweight, portable, and has a see-through panel that allows me to quickly identify what is inside. I was so pleased with the first order that I ordered a few more. (It's all for storing clothes. ).
