I didn't take the box's dimensions into consideration. But it wasn't a huge one. It's about 5" thick and runs the length of the shelf. It had a lot of weight to it. If that's helpful, it's a nice rack that's simple to assemble.
Sturdy, but not as good as the Alera, which I also own and purchased for $79 two years ago. Because the Alera was $116 at the time of this response, I decided to try the Homdox, which is nearly identical. The hooks aren't as well-made, and the shelf wiring appears to be a little weaker. To me, the difference in price is still worthwhile.
My clothes rack's bar is brimming with winter clothing. Of course, those are heavier than summer clothes, and if the entire rack were wider than it is, I could still fit more clothes in without worrying about the bar being unable to support everything. To put it another way, you could easily put even cast iron frying pans on the bar; it's a fantastic clothes rack!

Awesome! It's actually a lot bigger than I anticipated. Your shelves and bar could both be adjusted in height! Firm and dependable. Rather than using the dryer, I prefer to hang my delicate jackets and dress shirts to dry. This is extremely valuable information.
I couldn't be more pleased. It is very simple to put together. This item is extremely durable! It's quite large. When assembling the shelves, you have the option of choosing the shelf height as well as the location of the belt hooks. All of our storage issues were resolved, and the price was very reasonable. Despite the fact that my husband is 6'4" tall and wears a size 12, look how well I fit! Many racks are too narrow to accommodate men's xl clothing. These do! There are three flat surfaces for shoes as well, so I was able to fit them all in. It has hooks for his backpacks, hats, and belts, and it's heavy enough to withstand all of the weight because it hasn't bent in a year. The fact that it is on wheels and has locking wheels is extremely convenient.
