I had to go back and revise my review. When the shelf was first attached to the wall, it fell apart in seconds. I gave it a poor rating because it was not at all sturdy. After regaining control of my emotions, I realized that the problem was with the shelf, not my wall. I bought a 38-inch piece of wood, nailed it to the studs, and then nailed the shelf to the 38-inch piece of wood. In any case, the shelf is now my favorite. I'd like to express my regret for my earlier blunder.
Anyone with a basic understanding of physics would never put the weakest point in the middle of the bar, where all the force is concentrated. This isn't something I'm aware of being used in any industry. I covered the middle section with a coat. The entire bar had bowed. I assumed it was because I needed to tighten it up a little bit more. That worked for me, but the middle connection piece snapped like a twig. I should have just gone down to the hardware store and gotten the pieces, but the convenience of the click won out.
I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitation. Having said that, there are two things I'd like to point out: (1) Setting up is a two-person job. Because the joints swivel easily, this is a one-person job (make sure you mark out your lines with a level before attempting to install). (2) It includes stainless steel screws, which look odd against the black shelves, so I recommend replacing them with black coated wood screws.
These are absolutely stunning. It was exactly the look I wanted for my new shop, and it came together beautifully. The pieces are sturdy and easy to put together. It extends far enough from the wall to accommodate the long, decorative hangers. As a result, there are no clothes that brush against the wall.
A total of four pipes, two floor flanges, a coupler, and two elbow joints were included in the package. One of the elbow joints is an exact fit. The interior of the other, on the other hand, appears to be nearly empty. The threading is mostly gone, and the hole is far too big. The two elbows that come with the kit aren't even close to matching. One only has "3/4" imprinted in large font on one side, while the other has "3/4" in small font on one side and "DSDST" on the other; the joints not matching is irrelevant, except as a possible explanation for why the two are so different. br>Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough, but I don't see any way to simply contact the seller and request a replacement joint for this defective item. My only options are to return it and wait for a replacement, or to look for something else. Alternatively, go to a hardware store and purchase the proper elbow joint. I'm going with the latter because it appears to be the most efficient use of my time.
This is what I bought to hang my soft gun cases from. It gets the job done, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up under additional strain. Because the manufacturer painted the threads on the inside and outside of the pipe pieces, screwing them together took some time. It was a bad decision! As a result, I had to repeatedly screw and unscrew the pieces together until the paint was removed and the fit was satisfactory. The long section of the unit was level once mounted to the wall, but it leans slightly downward, and both wall mounts don't sit flush to the wall around the topmost screws for some reason. Still, it serves my purpose, so I can live with it as is.
Screwing everything together (making everything flush and tight) was a challenge for us. However, once it's up on the wall, we're happy with how it looks. The method of hanging cloths to dry has proven to be extremely effective. I'd recommend it to others, but warn them that it's not the easiest to put together.
This is exactly what my husband built for us in the guest room closet. It appears to be sturdy, and he found it simple to put together. This product is without a doubt recommended!.
