In a nutshell It is NOT wood that makes up the shelves. in the form of some sort of plastic sheet stretched over a wire frame with a wood print design. You should be able to use these shelves if you plan to put towels or something soft and lightweight on them. Originally, I purchased it so that I could store canned goods in it. For that purpose, this is a bad idea. The weight of the cans causes the plastic sheet to bow downward. Stashing canned goods like a hammock is like putting groceries It is something I regret having purchased, although I didn't want to repack and return Consider spending an extra ten to twenty dollars and buying an actual shelf if you really need one.
Despite appearing to be wood, the shelves are actually vinyl that is printed to look like wood. The material is so light that it is best suited for clothing and This is not the kind of surface I would store books on. You have to rub the metal grate in place with the mallet included and push a little hard in order to get it to snap into place. It was simple to assemble, but does require patience. As a completed product, it is quite sturdy, but it would not be suitable for heavy objects. My intention was to use this item as a closet organizer, so I am quite pleased with what I received, especially considering the price. It looks great and can easily hold a variety You're the best!.
My attempts to cancel the shipment were subsequently thwarted once I realized the wood panels were made of plastic. The damage has already been done. I read it and don't know what to say. I'm laughing so hard. I think it's brilliant how awful it is. It ended up being necessary to swap the panels, as the plastic had just been heat pressed around the metal frame and began to come apart during assembly. It's intended to serve as a toy storage unit for my son's closet. It still needs to be zip tied for extra strength, but at $30, I can't complain too much. It's amazing to play with the rubber mallet, though! In my toolbox I really miss having a rubber mallet, so I plan to use this for other projects.
I know this is a cheap shelving unit, but it's fine. It's packed with engineering, but it's not as simple as it might seem. The first thing the wires came with was a mallet to help them slide into the nodes firmly. Despite the components being standard, you have many options for configuration, considering how easy it is to snap them together. The wood-effect is very attractive, and it was easy to bring it together. A vinyl that has a grainy appearance They feel a bit flimsy, but I'm using them to hold towels in a bathroom closet, so I'm confident they will be able to withstand the load they will receive. The wood looks much better than particle board and I'm glad I purchased it.
Moving it around isn't a problem as it's light. In order for my things not to fall down the back, the backing is there. The shelves aren't as sturdy as some shelves, but will do the task of holding objects as long as they are light.
The price and quality of this product make it an excellent choice. For safety reasons, I need to mount the teethers to the wall, however it works really well to organize my children's light toys including their action figures and LOL dolls.
Though I like the overall look of the unit, some of the parts do not feel as sturdy as I expected. It can't be used as a storage unit since the shelves are too flimsy. In order to prevent it from buckling, I have been putting very little weight on it.
I have just the right amount of yarn. 2. Easy to assemble and quick to assemble.
