Questions & Answers
We had a bad moth infestation all over our house (which we discovered after returning home from a long vacation) and placed 1- After that, we did moth remediation, which included laundering/airing out all clothes, having all rugs washed, washing all closet surfaces, and discarding damaged rugs and sweaters. Initially, dozens of moths were caught in the traps. We've been using 1- since then because it was such a hassle. Two of these should be placed in each room or closet as sentinels, so that if the moths return, they will be caught on the traps. We placed them on top of wardrobes and on closet shelves. Since the big infestation, we've only seen a few moths, and the traps have given us some relief. They're pricey, but not nearly as much as the damage to my cashmere sweaters during our big infestation! An exterminator suggested that I use these pheromone traps. He claims they're the best thing for moths, but they're pricey due to the pheromone's high cost. Best of luck.
I've had good luck with them, but I've never seen a moth fly right into one. Later on, I discover evidence that they were duped. Because these traps only attract males, and you also need to kill the females and larvae, I find it more effective to use them in conjunction with moth killing spray. I hope this has been of assistance to you.
I decided they could, so I used whatever I had on hand to secure the trap. A top from an old shoe box can be cut to fit. I don't even bother to remove the adhesive strip. These traps, by the way, are fantastic. I've caught quite a few moths, and my sweaters appear to be in good condition so far. Every three months, I simply switch them out.
Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry - This pack contains 6 strips. They'll be delivered in three 2-packs. They have a two-year shelf life and are not activated until the removable backing is peeled away, revealing the pheromone sticky surface. br>br>Best wishes, Neilbr>West Bay Retail

For a bad moth infestation, I've tried several brands, but these are the only ones that are literally covered in moths. Other brands that can be folded into triangles include: 5 - shaped boxes were caught This brand traps only 10 moths per trap, compared to this brand's 50-100 moths per trap. Over the course of the attractant's life, each trap will catch 120 moths. Ours are still catching after four months, despite the fact that they are supposed to last three months. They won't completely eliminate your moth problem because they only attract males, but they can help you slow it down and keep track of it. I take the peeled paper backing from the moth trap that reveals the stickum, curl the backing, and lay it out as a new moth trap. Even if there is a small amount of attractant left, it will catch moths. When I first started using these, moths appeared almost immediately after I peeled off the trap's backing. I caught the first moths a minute after they were released. After a few months of use, the difference isn't as noticeable. I had no idea there were two types of clothes moths until I set the traps out. People have asked if these traps draw moths from outside, and the answer is yes. The young moths, like the adults of the regular beige-colored clothes moth, are extremely small and can fit through our window screens or any gaps around our old windows. However, I've discovered that the benefit outweighs the risk, as evidenced by the fact that the damage has ceased. As the weather cools, we'll shut the windows, fumigate with a moth bomb, possibly sprinkle diatomaceous earth in the cracks and corners of the closet and floorboards, and then air out with cold, moth-free air. Before the season ends, there's a chance to get some fresh air. Then I'll set up new traps to keep an eye on things. These traps are effective! br>br> To deal with them on a regular basis, they are saving a wool rug with heavy furniture on it that is difficult to move. You must first determine whether you have pantry or clothing moths, then purchase the appropriate trap. You may need to experiment with placement of the traps to achieve the best results. Best of luck!.
With this trap, I captured hundreds of them (nice to know it works for both types of moths - That hasn't been the case with any of the other traps I've tried! I tested these against another well-known clothing moth trap brand, and these came out on top. moths were caught by a factor of ten: 1 ratio. It's so powerful that it can even help to stop an active infestation. Nothing else can do what this trap can. I was scouting my apartment for the last of a clothes moth infestation when I came across eggs. Larvae can be found in a variety of environments, including: I like to think my cleaning helped, but these traps deserve a lot of credit because they kept catching moths even after I thought I'd found every hiding spot. For the past two months I've been 100% moth free. Crossing my fingers! I also cleaned out my kitchen cabinets and sealed away anything a pantry moth might like, avoiding having them set up shop, thanks to the pantry moths being discovered. I never saw a pantry moth flying around, only found them in the traps, so I would never have known to do this otherwise. br>br>And here's the best part: you can buy refills from the manufacturer's web site (Amazon doesn't carry them), so they're cheaper than any other clothes moth trap after the initial investment in the cardboard box container. It was simple and quick to replace the sticky board. On the down side, the paper covering the Amazon sticky boards was difficult to peel off, implying that they were likely old. The refills from the manufacturer, on the other hand, were not like that. Fortunately, it did not appear to have a negative impact on their performance.
I had purchased the full moth traps three times before realizing that refills were available. Those were excellent, which is why I continued to purchase them: A few moths would make themselves visible as soon as I opened the sealed adhesive card to insert into the holder near my closet, truly irresistible. So when I discovered the refills, I figured I'd be able to save some cash. This refill set includes every single card package. It's completely useless. These dried-fruits have no discernible aroma. up cards. When it comes to these refills, be wary of quality control. It was a waste of (relatively) large sums of money. I'm guessing the refill inventory isn't rotated very often, so it just sits on the shelves and dries out. I'll spend the extra cash on the full-fledged version of the game. on moth trap (with hanging box holder), which have 100% been 100% good from my experience, with 100% refills being 100% useless from my experience.
I'm really glad I got these. I'm on my third or fourth order because I've had a moth problem for years and didn't know what to do about it. I put all of my wool sweaters in the freezer for two weeks after cleaning them, so they're safe now, but I was surprised by how many moths these traps caught. There is no odor. I began using them around the holidays, and when the number of people trapped began to decline, I assumed I was finished. However, I noticed the little flying "guys" again a few weeks ago, so I ordered this 3x replacement. Another swarm was in the works, so I started filling up four traps. I have a 2-year-old daughter. So I've set up traps all over the place to catch as many people as possible. I'm going to keep doing it until they leave. It's worth it to me to keep trapping them because I have a valuable wool rug that has been decimated at one end.
These traps are effective, and I was relieved to discover that replacing the strips rather than purchasing a new set of traps was a more cost-effective option. However, I was dissatisfied with the packaging of these. Three-packs of the original traps are available. Six refill strips are included in this package, which should be enough to refill a set of three traps twice. Unfortunately, each wrapper contains two replacement strips and is packaged as three packets. So you'll need to unwrap four replacement strips to refill three traps. And this is what it says on the box: "After opening the protective packaging, the active life is 12 weeks. " As a result, despite not being used to catch moths, the effectiveness of that fourth strip is rapidly fading.
