My boyfriend said they were simple to put together and that he really likes the CLOSETMAID modular system that he put together himself. The glass doors are absolutely stunning. Although there is a small gap between the doors, it does not appear to be a major flaw, especially considering how little the entire system cost me in comparison to other options.
One step, in particular, could have been better explained with a few more graphics. We did, however, make it. br>br>The final product was fantastic. The units appear to be made to order. They hold more than I expected, despite the fact that the photos make them appear shallow. br>br>When shopping online, I rely on reviews, so I felt compelled to post about how relieved my husband and I were to walk into the closet this morning and find everything in its place. br>br>You're going to love these - Just keep in mind that the assembly is a little difficult due to some ambiguous instructions, and this is coming from someone who regularly assembles furniture purchased online. It is, however, well worth the effort at this price. br>br>P. If you buy it, make sure to put one drawer in first before doing the rest. This way, if something goes wrong, you won't have to redo everything.
The installation is now complete, and the units' SIDES BOW OUTWARD! As a result, your drawers are going to fall out! Great solid unit, but it has irritated us because it took the better part of a morning to put together on my ONLY DAY OFF, only to discover the unit does not perform- I've gotten a snoozer! A large piece of the puzzle was missing when it arrived. Several pieces of the puzzle broke. It was obviously repackaged from a return.
Made in a poor manner. I was so excited to find a piece that fit my space without any modifications, but the product is poorly made once assembled, the drawers won't stay in the rails and keep falling down! Now I'm torn between keeping them and retrofitting them, because they'll be a pain to disassemble, and the packaging they came in will never be used to ship them back!.
We've been waiting for a replacement part for a broken one for the past two weeks. So far, this unit has been half-assembled on my dining room table- a period of two weeks Make sure you have plenty of room to thoroughly inspect each piece once you receive it. Closetmaid will send replacements, but you should expect to wait a while. I purchased three organizers and am in need of replacement parts for each. Sigh. They're simple to put together- Be gentle, not too strong, and strong enough to hold my ten-year-old's attention.
It's a good product - It gets the job done, but I'm not happy with the quality. Obviously, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular for the money, but at the very least, IKEA quality (which this one isn't). I've put together similar closet systems from other brands for similar prices that have fared much better. Simply be cautious when putting it together because it is easily broken. It was purchased for the purpose of constructing a closet for my baby girl, and it should suffice for the time being.
What a shock! I've already spent so much time and effort moving and assembling it that deciding whether to return it or try to retrofit it so that the drawers stay where they should be is a difficult decision.
