are referring to the shelves with 1 foot square "cubbies" then yes, that's exactly where I have mine. They are 10" high, 10" deep, and 10" across. A perfect fit at 5" wide. The handles are made of rope and are strong. It is safe to say that the boxes fit and are easy to install and remove if they are just going on flat long shelves, such as the tops of closets. Also, be able to hold lots.
There is a trim on the bottom edge that can be pushed forward and it measures 10 inches high. Since the boxes do not fit inside the shelves that are 9 and 3/4 inches wide, you need the entire 10 inches between them. We bought the shelves that were shown, but they were only 9 and 3/4 inches wide.

However, none of them worked. With this horrible odor permeating every corner of our closet and bedroom, we are temporarily living in a box. Two stars because we ordered 8 soft boxes and all 8 are contaminated with an awful odor that does not go away when we wash them. The boxes function as boxes, but we are probably contaminating what we put in them with them! We gave them two stars for this reason!.

These fabric storage bins by this brand are an amazing price, and I have pet 4-half size bins from Amazon warehouse at a really good price, so finding these at this price was perfect.
