I came across this rare angelic beauty and was completely taken aback when I received her. She is stunning, and the photos do not do her justice until you see her in person. Her wings are pure angelic, and the candles add an extra touch of elegance. For the price, this is a must have!!.
Keep your eyes peeled for the image. The dress has a lot of transparency to it. Individual lights can be seen beneath the dress. So it doesn't appear to be "glowing," as you might expect. All of our other angels, both lighted and non-lighted, have a base garment and then a lace type garment over it, giving the dress depth. There is only one gold-covered garment in this set, as shown in the photo. The photo, however, gives the impression that the dress is larger than it is. My sheer curtains aren't quite as see-through as yours. All of the light bulbs in the ring can be seen clearly from a distance of 10 feet (on a 7-foot-tall tree). I'm not referring to the glow of a light bulb; I'm referring to the light bulb itself. This flaw in the design could have been mitigated by using gold lace to cover the dress and diffuse the light. We'll have to adjust to it now that it's on the tree. I'm looking forward to hearing the kids' reactions and mockery on this one.
I really liked it, but there was a small snag near the bottom of the dress that I didn't notice. I searched high and low for a black Angel in a white gown. Since I was 15 years old, I'd had mine and my white tree. It was given to me by my stepfather. Last May, I had a fire in my house, and everything was destroyed. This was the closest I could get after looking everywhere and finding out that they don't want to sell them. I'm grateful to God for giving me this one. I'm starting a new chapter in my new home, and I'm excited about it. Thank You.
I didn't get it until it was too late, for some reason. This is a first for Amazon, but it's fine; I started looking for a tree topper in other places, which I won't name, and came across this piece for more than $100. I really liked it but didn't want to pay that much for it, so I looked on Amazon and found it for around $60. This was still a bit too much for me, but I was able to find it for only $20 in the Amazon warehouse! I plugged it in and it worked perfectly; I simply placed it on a tabletop to test it out until I finish putting together my tree. This is ideal!.
However, after putting up my tree and sitting atop it for four hours, her lights stopped working. 4 hours later!! What a colossal squandering of funds.
After the original angel I ordered in November became unavailable, I was looking forward to receiving this one. According to some of the reviews and photos, this angel arrived and looked nothing like the original photo. However, given the positive overall ratings and the fact that we're well into the holiday season, I decided to take a chance. I WAS IN THE WRONG FOR TAKING THIS CHANCE. When I finally opened the package, I was extremely disappointed. This angel has a shoddy construction. Her face appears to be drooping on one side. The color scheme is hideous. I might have been able to overlook it if this had been the only issue. I bought this angel because it was described as an African American Angel. Her coloring, on the other hand, is ASHEN GREY, unlike any other human skin tone I've ever seen. It appears that she was originally a Caucasian angel, with the artist painting over her original skin tone to fulfill orders for an African American angel. It simply appears to be a HORRIBLE situation. When my family first saw this angel, they all raised their eyebrows. I quickly repackaged her, sealed her, printed a shipping label, and returned her as soon as possible. THOSE REVIEWS ARE TO BE TRUSTED. Very let down.
It's lovely, but beware: the lights don't work, and I can't return it because I missed the deadline; I wouldn't buy it again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
It's a lovely ornament for the tree. It's hard to find an African American angel tree topper, and this one is very nice; the skin tone is a little lighter than I'd like, and the lighting underneath the dress is a little dim due to the color of the dress, but I like the size, and I might get the other one in the white dress. This angel came at a very low cost. On my tree in 2021, it'll look fantastic.
