This is a two-sided item. Please take note that there appears to be some color within the glass in the image. I got mine and it's completely white, which irritates me because the picture in the glass clearly has color.
A light bulb appears to have been installed and plugged in in the photo. Without the light bulb turned on, the star does not resemble the image. The color of the star resembles that of the tassels. This star is one of my favorites. It's stunning!
I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it appears to be very thin glass or plastic. We hung it from a normal 7-foot tree and had no problems with it bending over or the single branch failing to keep it upright. It has a lovely glow to it. If it becomes too heavy for you, you can always return.
This lovely capiz tree topper is far too fragile to be used outside.

There is one thing to keep in mind: Because it is quite heavy, you may need to prune the tip top of your tree to the point where the trunk is strong enough to support the star and prevent it from leaning to one side. br>br>PS: As Christmas approaches, the price has risen dramatically. It costs almost $50. However, it was only $29 at the end of November. 90 dollars plus shipping.
Unlike some reviews, this is solid on both sides and appears to be the same. It has a nice sheen to it and appears to have been well constructed. We adore it, and it complements our Christmas tree beautifully. This is something I would purchase again.
In 2008 or 2009, I purchased this tree topper. There was never a time when a light bulb went out. Wouldn't it make sense that, as bad as things have been, by 2020 it would have decided not to work? I tried replacing the fuse and bulbs, but they didn't work. I was able to locate it thanks to the fact that I still had the box it came in. I looked at a lot of other stars online and in stores, but none of them were as good as this one. I was overjoyed to discover that they continue to produce this.

First and foremost, I placed my order late at night and it arrived the next day, which is a huge plus. The star itself is lovely, especially when it is illuminated. I didn't photograph the packaging, but it was well-protected with bubble wrap in the shipping box and on the inside of the star box itself. I'm not sure I'll buy it again because who wants to buy the same star twice? However, I'd keep it wrapped for a couple of years for Christmas purposes only.
This is a lovely star. However, I do not believe it is worth $30. It appears to be something you could find for $15 at Ross. It appears to be a delicate situation. It looks as if it'll snap the moment I put it away. That was something I should have expected. After all, it's the Philippines. I'm keeping it because it's beautiful, and my other star finally broke after 15 years. I'm not in the mood to go on a search. However, I would recommend spending $30 on something more durable. After the season is finished, I'll update my review.
I'm one of those people who thinks the packaging is woeful. I won't be able to store the star in its original packaging, but that's just a matter of convenience. The product itself has some weight to it, but it isn't overly bulky. It shines brightly on top of the tree and appears to be very expensive; I adore it and would buy it again.
It's a little on the heavy side, but that's true of most toppers. The shell and the lights are both beautiful. Simply stunning! The first photograph is dark, while the second is bright.
