I don't know the exact opening size, but I was able to twist mine open and closed slightly with pliers using an 1/8 inch cord.
Yes, if you screw into the boards behind the siding, the aluminum in a trailer will not last very long.
To get the cord in, you'd have to bend the twist slightly open. However, they are certainly strong enough to support it.
I'm not sure how much your sack weighs, but if you screw the hook into a piece of wood like a 2x4, you should be able to hang at least 100 pounds.

I was planning on making eye hooks with zip stripes when I came across these. Because of the positive feedback, I decided to purchase the books. They are extremely easy to use and exactly what I was looking for. They're a little pricey, but I don't think I'll mind once I'm out in the cold, easily removing the lights. I built a small jig to drill pilot holes after receiving a few hints. They've gotten to the point where they're all lined up along the porch's inside edge. I hung lights on them and spaced them about 24 inches apart, which seemed to be about right so the wires didn't sag. That way, you won't have to buy as many hooks, which will save you money. I also noticed that different quantities could be purchased; purchasing a 60 bag was more expensive than purchasing three 20 bag packages.
It was larger than I had anticipated, but it was well-made and very practical. It will be much easier for me to put up the Christmas lights each year now that I have these installed.
(For a two-pack, add 4). The best way to get them was to order them in bulk from Amazon. br>• They are made of extremely durable materials that will outlast you. Those painted screw-drivers were something I used to buy. in hooks, but they don't last long before rusting and falling apart, whereas these Hangman hooks have been in use for years and still look brand new. • They're great for grabbing and holding Christmas lights while also being easy to remove. br>• Setup is simple, but I recommend that you do it ahead of time. Drill the hole first, then screw the hanger in place. Installing a hanger with a screwdriver provides leverage and makes the job easier. br>• When it comes to spacing, the following guidelines should be followed: I spaced the hooks about 2' apart on my front deck, but I only used every other one. . . so 4' spacing would be ideal. However, you could most likely travel much further. • With my package, I did not receive the drill bit that was shown. But it's not such a big deal. br>Overall, these are excellent hangers for light string systems of any kind. They're the only hangers I'll ever use outside because they last for years, don't rust, and don't need to be maintained. Simply put, it's a good little machine.
For our house's roofline, I have a number of C9 light strings. A second-story roof is the most difficult (and potentially dangerous) part of the roof. gable story Last year, I purchased a set of plastic shingle clips, but after only one season in the elements, nearly all of them have disintegrated. After reading the positive reviews, I decided to purchase the steel hooks this season, and I'm very happy with my decision. You can install/uninstall the light strings with one hand once the hooks are in place; I spaced mine every 24" and it worked well. I used a nylon zip tie in a few spots to remove the slack. I also used a driver bit to install the hooks after drilling a pilot hole. It's very simple. Recommendation Power Wing Nut Driver Set from PANOVOS (2 pieces).
I'm glad I came across these hooks instead of the standard open hooks. It's ideal for securing outdoor lights, and it's secure enough to keep the strings in place even in strong winds. It's also what I use to hang my plants, and it's very sturdy and secure. It comes highly recommended from me!.
These are incredible! Hummingbird feeder, Mardi Gras beads, wind chimes, and other items had previously been hung from hooks beneath my roof line. This is far superior. It was simple to install because I already had holes in the area. The only problem I have is that I ordered two 20-count packages, so I should have received a total of 40. There were only 38 of them! (I only gave it four stars because of this. ) And there is no bit included, despite the fact that one can be seen in the product photo.
We have 24' peaks in a windy area, so I needed a way to secure our lights so that annual light hanging would be easier. I can't speak for long-term durability, but these appear to be extremely well-made, as others have stated. To help with even spacing, I made a 4' string jig with markings at every foot. Drilled, and installation went smoothly. I love how easily the strand of lights fit into them, and after making a mistake with one strand's direction, I discovered that removing the strands was also a breeze. In general, I'm very happy with the results.
It's because it's misrepresented, just like everyone else who has given it a lower rating. The image depicts a drillbit, but it does not come with one. Fortunately, I have plenty, but for some, this may be a major concern. The image should be replaced, and text stating that a drillbit will be required should be added. In terms of durability and rust resistance, I'll make a later comment.
