No, I doubt it. They'd slide around if the metal was round.
We use the clips to hold our dripping icicle lights, which are simply wires with a diameter of about 1/4 inch. The clips do have a lot of room to expand. We found them to be extremely useful.
"Holds every type of light:" says the product box. C5, C7, C9, Mini, Rope, Icicle, LED, and so on." These hooks are designed to allow you to simply clip the string into the hook rather than stringing it through a hole - The space where the light's wire is held is vacant. It was not a complete circle when it came to the end. The portion of the hook that would hold the light string, in your case a light hook, is 1/4-inch in diameter. inch - If your hook's diameter is between 1/4 and 1/2 inch, you're good to go. You should be good to go at this point. If you order these and they don't work out, you can always return them to Amazon because they have a "no hassle returns" policy. I hope this information is useful and that your new lights complement your home beautifully!
I'm not sure about a wood fence, but we did use it on our gutters and a chain link fence.

Until now, my problem had been that the lights were too heavy, causing the clips to break and numerous broken bulbs. These clips are unique in that they have a much more secure section that grips the gutter and a snail-like section that grabs the lighting cable. When the cable is heavy, as mine was, the snail side that holds it stretches out without letting go, and everything stays in place nicely thanks to the gutter section's strong anchoring. I added a few more clips for extra security and peace of mind, but that one clip is more than adequate.
I've been hanging strings of (now) led lights around the house with these for about five years. They're the simplest I've found for securely hooking to both the gutter lip and the thicker 110-pound gutters. These strings are held together by a v cord. The only catch is that they're made of plastic and are susceptible to the elements. After a year or two, they become brittle and break, so keep them out of difficult-to-reach areas.
This is a great product that performs admirably. If it weren't for the fact that the box still had the original price tag on it, I would have given it 5 stars! Please see the image attached. br>Paying $8 for something that should have cost $2. A star is taken away if you score 49. br>It appeared that you tried but failed to scrape it off. Please work harder the next time to remove the label.
As I decided to use my several tall shepherds hooks for bird feeders, I got these to hang my windchimes from. I used some extended S hooks as the first item on these hooks for chimes with short "leads," then easily attached the chimes. This design appeared to be the least likely to allow chimes to be blown off the hook on a windy day.
I don't hang Christmas lights on these hooks. Hummingbird feeders are hung on my front porch using them. My house has vinyl siding that extends all the way to the underside of the porch (including the porch). Hooks made of metal are too heavy to use. I tried a few different types of hooks, but none of them worked. These do. I was overjoyed to discover them on the internet because I had already used up all of the ones I had purchased at a yard sale. Yes, the hooks will stretch out due to the weight of the hummingbird feeders, so keep an eye on them if you're using them for anything heavy. I imagine that the lights would be less powerful and that there would be less need for checking.
These are some of the best and most adaptable hooks I've ever seen. They can work in either a curly or eve-style. end (front or back) depending on the eve, and can also hide behind siding and clip to j-hooks reasonably well. We leave ours on for three days at home, depending on the channel. During four months of the year, they have an average of 20-hour days. Days in the 30s Fahrenheit, possibly even - Even at ten o'clock at night, they'll last four years.
For myself and my neighbors, I installed some outdoor lighting. They were extremely effective and durable. They weren't even moved by the strong winds. A fantastic purchase!.
They fell apart after about a year, which might be a reasonable amount of time. . . ? I'm hoping we'll be able to track down some metal - or, at the very least, more durable- hooks.
