What happens to bubble lights if this is replaced?

Lights that appear to bubble do not actually do so. Rather than flourescent filaments, they contain glitter that circulates when the bulb is heated When standing close enough to see the glitter, it can only be seen if one looks closely. A bubble does not appear. There is no such thing as vintage.
