The battery pack would be replaced by two, instead of one. It could be done using a small twist tie to connect the two ends Each end of the cable has a battery pack. It is my hope that this will be helpful.

A dark green cord runs through the cord.

Which one is best for etl, fm, or ul?

I did not find any markings on the box or instructions indicating certification by UL, FM or Etl. However, the box does state that it is RoHS compliant.

There is a separate remove control for each set, which I like. Since each set of lights is powered by a battery pack, they can be used even when there is a blackout. I like just having the lights on as if they were regular lamps. They have a bunch of settings for how you want the lights to be on.

There's a blue tint to the white! was expecting them to be more white, but they actually appear blue to me

The lights do not match the lights on a white tree. In case you are planning to use white, be sure to get warm white. Silver is what I use in place of gold in my decor, so I got silver. It was a big error. The clashes are severe.

It was disappointing at first, but then I realized that this was a learning experience

At first, I couldn't see any color in these. Then I took them out of the box and realized their size. I was so surprised when I put the batteries in them. Their brightness and color made them stand out so well. She has a lot of fun moving the batteries around as she decorates the and other strand. She is 7 and I put the batteries in and let her go at it.

These are to go on top of a tent we bought for our grandchildren for indoor use. When they came downstairs Christmas morning, they were blown away by this. This light set adds a nice starry atmosphere and is very easy to set up. The remote works as well as the battery pack attached to the lights, which is not known for sure why they have a remote.

This is a very nice light! As they are whisper-light, I placed them around plants indoors and they did not bother the plants at all It's not dark. These lights are great if you want a lightweight, nimble way to light up your room without a power cord.

A very cheap product that was broken the first time it was used! It worked after I installed batteries and turned it on

Once I had wrapped the lights around my balcony, I turned them on to find that half of them no longer worked. There are very thin wires and a very low price. Money is a precious thing, do not waste it.
