Questions & Answers
These do, in fact, connect to a standard wall outlet.
There are no command hooks available.
I was also aware of this. Even when the curtain is turned off (but still plugged in), the three "strings" furthest away from the plug emit a very faint glow. I thought I was seeing things or that light was being reflected from somewhere else until I cupped my hand around an LED and saw that it was still lit. It makes me a little concerned about the wiring's condition, but no strange burning odors have been detected.
Sorry, but the lights can't be turned off.

You, curtain string lights, are amazing. These lights are fantastic; If you follow the instructions, it's simple to set up. We purchased six sets. On our Christmas tunnel, there are three connected per side. While I'm writing this review, I'm keeping an eye on them. br>br>I was surprised to learn that the controller is not waterproof, but sealing them in a ziplock bag should suffice. br>br>Overlapping them does the trick, and they look really "sick," as my normally unimpressed teenager put it. br>br>We installed them during a torrential downpour, and everything appears to be working fine. Our house should be easy to find for Santa.
I really like how the colors change. Overall, it was a good investment.
I needed a color and white option because the first only did white. I like how these can switch between white and color, and there are so many different patterns to choose from. I stapled these across a ceiling instead of hanging them, and they held up well to my pulling and tugging to get them flush and straight as I stapled them, so I'm pleased with the quality thus far. The plug also comes with a very long lead, making it simple to connect multiple strings if necessary. Even with a 9-to-5 job, you can make a difference. 3-foot ceilings with routing down the corner and about 3-foot ceilings with routing down the corner and around 3-foot ceilings with I didn't need an extension cord because it was only a few feet across the wall, which was a huge plus for a clean installation.
br>This one is set up with individual strands connected to a large, long cord. br>Setting this up would have been simple if I had given it a little thought. I, on the other hand, was impatient. as well as the consequences. br>br>I also purchased these to use as a nightlight because I am unable to sleep in complete darkness, and they have proven to be very effective. I use the lowest brightness setting, with the "steady" option selected. br>br>In any case, here's how I set these up: br>br> I grossly overestimated the length of 9. That would be 8 feet. But, in the end, I rolled up the ends and made little fat "icicles," and I'm pleased with the results. These come with small hooks to attach to a curtain rod, but I found them to be extremely small and ineffective. As a result, I simply taped these to my window frame, and they adhered very well with clear tape. It also looks nice for me because the lights are hidden behind sheer white curtains. If the strands tangle, unrolling them individually can be aggravating, but unraveling/untangling them is relatively simple. br> The remote is extremely useful. I'm not sure about the timer function yet, but the lights in the dark are quite lovely. br>br>My only criticism is that the lights are all the same except for "steady" and two "fade" options. spazzy. br>Apart from that, I'd give these a thumbs up. They're extremely attractive and emit just the right amount of light.
This is the only Amazon product I've ever purchased that we haven't been able to use, and it's the only one I've ever purchased that we haven't been able to use. Years ago, when I first purchased Christmas lights, I tangled them because I didn't know any better, but I was able to untangle them. My teen was so excited about these for her room that she grabbed them right away to put them up, but she didn't know any better and tangled them. Unfortunately, there is no way to untangle them. We tried for days because there were so many strands. However, wires have now broken and are visible, and the situation remains a complete disaster. I'm not sure why the instructions for unfolding aren't written in large letters for first-time users. We also purchased led strip lights, which were simple to install and look fantastic. This could be a good product, but unpacking it should be done with caution.
I placed an order for two boxes. The first one is excellent. 5 stars. The other included a snipped wire (see photo). I had to order a replacement when I didn't need to. 1 star. Average: 3 stars. br>br>The remote on the box is not the same as the one you get (see photo). It has eight different settings, as well as a timer and a dimming option. The remote control I received has 11 functions, three timers, and a dimming feature. I'm not sure what 9,10, or 11 do, and the timer isn't working (according to the instructions, a green light should appear on the remote). 1 starbr>br>They have a lot of lighting options and they look great. Very long, reaching all the way to the ground! 5 starsbr>br>Total: 5 starsbr>br> 2 stars.
These curtain lights have been used both as regular lighting and as a night light in my bedroom. String lights, in my opinion, can be used to replace standing lamps and to brighten a room with insufficient lighting. I like how the timer turns on and off at the same time every day. One thing to keep in mind if you're using it as a nightlight: Yellow's lowest brightness will still be slightly bright, making it difficult to fall asleep at times. A wall converter will not be able to reduce the brightness any further. Wish there was a way to reduce the brightness range even more. Aside from that, it's a fantastic and entertaining product.
For Christmas, I purchased two of these strands for each of my children's rooms. One is completely functional, while the other is only partially so. I reorganized the strands to make it work because one strand is only half lit, which is annoying, but trying to talk to Amazon customer service is sometimes a waste of time, so I reorganized the strands to make it work. I would not, however, purchase this item again.
