These lights are lovely and really bring my porch to life, but I would recommend using a dimmer because they are quite bright. Due to a blunder I made when hanging the lights, they were knocked out by a thunderstorm. Single replacement bulbs are available from Brightech for $10 each. If replacement LED bulbs are required, Newhouse Lighting's replacement LED bulbs are highly recommended. 6 times less costly; the same light bulb br>br>Newhouse Lighting S14LED18 Outdoor Weatherproof 2W S14 LED Replacement String Light Bulbs with Standard Base (18 Pack), Clear (Newhouse Lighting S14LED18 Outdoor Weatherproof 2W S14 LED Replacement String Light Bulbs with Standard Base), Clear (Newhouse Lighting S14LED18 Outdoor Weatherproof 2W S14 LED Replacement String Light.
The most pressing question, in my opinion, is how well these lights can be dimmed and which dimmer will work best with them. So I was thinking about getting some of these for a "carnival" we're having this weekend, and I really wanted the ability to dim the lights. So I bought three dimmers: two from Amazon and one from Home Depot, and I planned to hardwire the Home Depot one myself. However, I was under no obligation to do so. First and foremost, the packaging was flawless; I ordered two sets, and Amazon delivered them on time. I ordered this wire from Amazon to help support the lights, and it worked perfectly: To get the cable nice and tight, I used this stainless steel cable tensioner: Grab a bag of black zip ties and tie it to the cable. The dimmer can be found at: I would have to remove the last bulb and replace it with a fluorescent one, as many of the reviews stated. In my experience, this was not the case. This dimmer worked perfectly, and if I can figure out how to upload the video and photos, I'll share them with you. I was a little concerned about the dimming capabilities, but it works great if you move the dimmer slide slowly. I had found comparable lights cheaper from other companies on Amazon, but I decided to spend the extra money on this brand due to the high reviews. I have them 11 feet off the round (so it goes over my kids zip line) and it lights up my yard perfectly. I did find comparable lights cheaper from other companies on Amazon, but I decided to spend the extra money on this brand due to the high reviews. It's a case of getting what you pay for. I didn't get a video of them after they were hung up outside, but I'll try to add it later.
At the same time, we are very particular about selecting an energy-efficient light bulb, such as an LED. br>This product was ideal for our requirements. When I first opened the package, I couldn't believe the bulbs were LED. I didn't believe it until I touched the bulbs several times after a few minutes of use. The style has made my wife very happy. br>Because you'll be getting a significant amount of light, I recommend adding a dimmer. Be aware that LED lights will flicker at the lowest dimmer settings. You can count on it. br>A steel cable support for the lights should be prepared if you are crossing long distances from pole to pole or pole to wall, despite the string's robustness. I read a review that said the bulbs were fragile, so I went ahead and bought them. These aren't Christmas lights, believe it or not. The bulbs should not be attached when moving or rearranging the lighting distribution. The bulbs are screwed on after the string has been set up. If you need to move them again, take out the bulbs first. br>I plan to do so. up to date on this review and include photos. The quality appears to be excellent, and only time will tell how well they hold up against the elements.
We bought three strands of Brightect LED Bulbs for the pool lanai after trying various LED Christmas lights and not having a good experience. These are incredible lights. They provide plenty of light, and I like that I'm saving energy by not using a single 100-watt bulb. In addition, we bought a Lutron TTCL- 100H- There was no flickering with the BL Credenza Dimmable CFL/LED Dimmer and these bulbs. I can adjust the brightness of the lights from barely visible to full power. One of the bulbs had a problem, which Brightect customer service quickly resolved. It was clear that they were concerned about their company's success. I installed a KMC Smart plug, so all I have to do now is say, "Alexa, turn on the pool lights. ".
These lights are truly incredible. This week, I lit my pool and fire pit area, and everyone who has seen them has given me rave reviews. Inside the house, I used a Leviton 600w dimmer, and I used the My Leviton app on my phone to control the lights from my fire pit. Fantastic item(s)!.
Several bulbs failed in the first ten months, despite the fact that they should have lasted many years with little use. This is something I would not buy again.
These are fantastic; they're high-quality and incredibly bright. Great for a backyard carnival, but I was mortified to discover they didn't dim after stringing three sets nose to tail (my fault; I should have read the description more carefully). When I contacted the manufacturer, they informed me that they were unable to make any recommendations. I bought the Levitron 100 TTYL 100H after seeing it recommended on Amazon, only to discover it only worked at full brightness. Any other setting causes the LEDs to flicker. I figured there wouldn't be enough current to dim these low-power bulbs, so I inserted a standard 60W bulb at the end of the string, and it worked. There's a full range of brightness, including the ambiance that low light was designed for. I'm relieved that I won't have to remove them.
