3 nails are made to look like nailed heads), a stone, a small white cloth, and the last egg is empty since Jesus rose from the dead at that time. Bringing to life the true Easter story with this product is a great idea!
Despite the fact that I purchased ours last year, I have no idea when they were originally manufactured. Though it describes the Easter story, it is not a modern interpretation of any story. This wouldn't matter to me in terms of the year.
Before Jesus was arrested, He called attention to the fact that Peter would deny Him three times by the time the rooster crooned twice the next It gets better). As a symbol of Peter's denial and repentance, the crow of a rooster represents his denial of Christ and his repentance. Resolving to repent is synonymous with repentance, a symbol associated with the rooster.
The plastic container in which I received it was blue. It was purple and I bought it a long time ago.

Here are my 7-year-old twins We opened the eggs and told the story of the resurrection to our daughter and she loved it. I didn't know she had missed a lot of parts (like the 30 pieces of silver and the cock crowing), and this was a great way of learning The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating was two small quibbles. In the first place, a few of the eggs arrived cracked (we bought tons of plastic Easter eggs, so I was able to replace them). I read it to her to explain it, since we are Catholic, and the booklet that goes along with it denies the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Luckily, I read it with her (she concentrated on the eggs, and I read the rest). As a result, I skipped over those parts, and then blacked them out with permanent marker in the book for future solo readings.
In addition to providing information, the booklet also asks important questions. The questions they raise are provocative. With the first egg speaking of Palm Sunday, we will begin teaching these eggs on Palm Sunday. We will then repeat some of these eggs throughout the week (Last Supper egg and Garden of Gethsemane egg together, for instance) so that we can conclude.
As part of our Easter tradition, I intend to read this book every Easter to my grandkids to tell them the story of Jesus's death and resurrection. Opening the eggs and revealing the symbolic pieces was one of their favorite parts. As a start to a new tradition, I asked my daughter to read the story provided. The only advice I can give you is to read the story out loud first before sharing it with others. Nevertheless, I think you should edit a couple of spots for the very small ones to make them a little more readable. I am not advocating denying the facts because children must know who Jesus was and the sacrifices he made for them. Yet I am recommending that you take the age of the reader into account when choosing a book.
While growing up, we owned one of these sets and enjoyed it a lot! This program has been used In order to order this set, I paid $465. Conceptually, it's a great idea, but this is a very cheaply made product. The boxes of 12 eggs we received had four cracked before we popped the tops. As soon as you looked at the carton, they were cracked. One of the eggs cracked after I opened the carton and sorted through them. Next year, we'll probably find a different vendor for this, as this one is clearly not going to last. It's still a great way to teach your children the reason behind Easter, however.
Having this lesson on Resurrection Day will help you learn more about what it's really all The layout of the story does not appeal to me. In the end, going through the resurrection should not be a problem as long as you know what your Bible states. This booklet will no longer be used all year. They are both great and it would be a shame if they weren't We look forward to introducing them to our family as Besides being great & fun, the eggs are also filled with useful items A few were even protected in a plastic bag, which I thought was nice. I think they're great for teaching kids images and concepts. Questions are posed to prompt discussion. It is definitely something I The booklet, however, may not be in the book. Although it is nice that it contains the verses.
As a friend, and using the carton as a gift, I will be sure to buy one as I liked how one of the pieces was wrapped inside the egg to prevent damage (or too much rattling)
I'll be sure to use it in the future.
The perfect way to tell the Easter story! use a sharpie to number each egg so that there was no doubt for my children as to which eggs came first. Considering these are plain plastic eggs, I'm not sure how well they'll hold up, but for the price, I think I'm getting my money's worth of a reminder to reflect upon the true reason for the season.
Whenever my daughter plays with her resurrection eggs at age 2, she has a great time. Despite the fact that she is too young to fully comprehend the meaning. I plan to read about a chapter of the book each year around Easter, when she is old enough. It is a choking hazard for her to play with the small toys in the eggs, so she must always be monitored. There is no doubt that this set is of high quality and will last for many.
