I was certain what was going to happen the minute I opened up the box and pulled out the bag containing the house. As I sat in the bathtub, I cut up a large piece of buffalo snow. Put on some rubber gloves and put the bagged house in the tub. Then, cut the bag off gently with scissors. This was delivered to me just now. Despite my best efforts, this item is disappointingly poor quality. This chimney had a broken candy cane atop it and it was made out of very poor quality materials. There must be card board underneath the glitter, as the chimney appears to be moving and the whole thing is fragile. Gingerbread houses are one of my favorite things to collect, but these do not live up to the quality of Valarie Parr Hill gingerbread houses. Each one of them has a solid structure and is very sturdy. It is the first time I have purchased a Kurt Adler house. It occurred to me as I was writing this review to take a closer look at the package it came Despite pictures on the Adler box, both the house I received and the picture on the Adler box are different. The one pictured on the box is actually a cheap knock off! A straight overhang appears in the box picture, and my overhang is curved. Also, details from the house on the box have been omitted. The product did not appear to be an Adler product and I am not satisfied with it! As I am unwilling to deal with the hassle of returning this item, I will keep it. Avoid this item at all costs you'd be better off skipping it. This is a cute hat, but its price should be less than For size and substance, there is a €5. 00 charge.

Because of how cute it is and how many compliments it has gotten, I began browsing My order has been shipped, thank you. I'm very pleased with the house - very intricate and beautiful. I've never been disappointed in a gingerbread house and I wouldn't hesitate to tell you. My little table fit nicely over the top of it. I don't have like 800 Christmas decorations on display, just a few little items, so this was the perfect size to display on its own.

Why? The item I returned for a refund doesn't seem to warrant a review since I received a refund for it. When it arrived in a box, it looked as if someone with heavy feet had used it as a foot stool. When I came back, I discovered the light fixture had been stolen. It was a clever and well crafted Xmas decoration that I wish I had been able to keep without these problems.

This was carefully examined by me and I do not find any cracks or breaks here, There was one support for the awning in front and the front tree was slightly crooked, but this was done with a critical eye and would never have been noticed otherwise. I was very pleased with it, and am eager to include it in my gingerbread village display next year. I purchased from Amazon as it was listed as the seller, and I received a "lightning deal," which made an already great deal even better.

Returns have closed, and since this was a gift, in order for me to use it I just opened the box. The cracks and poor design make it ineligible for use. I am no longer able to hold the pieces together and pieces are falling off. If you can refund my money, I would appreciate it.
